Whether it's Democrats using a police gym to play basketball or Republicans imprisoning people without due process and sending them to black sites, both sides abuse police resources to achieve their goals.

- It’s not over until it’s over: research only showed Lula reaching a mathematical tie with Bolsonaro less than 48h before polls opened. A campaign must remain strong until the moment polls close. Do not lose steam. Do not let bots and clever far-right peons online demotivate you from your fight.

- Give a voice to young people: incentivise under-24s to get into politics, find new leaderships that can speak to the disillusioned youth that is often targeted by extremism. These elections have shown the rise of key young politicians like Érika Hilton, Rick Azevedo, Ana Elisa and Jones Manoel.

Here we see someone wearing a cloak WITH FIBULAE, era appropriate at last, but A) This means it had no excuse to give everyone else celtic brooches, and B) The man next to him is wearing a "cloak" that is actually a sack with a hole for his head as some kind of mantle.

… Also, not to be too nerdy and pedantic, but in the interview Bessent said that Obama’s library looks like “Darth Vader’s tomb,” when obviously Vader’s body was burned at the end of ROTJ, and the proper comparison is with Darth Vader’s Fortress on Mustafar.

This drives me CRAZY. I grew up playing sports w/ boys. I played on a U12 boys select soccer team, b4 switching to a U12 girls team that kept beating us. Nobody had any issue with any of it. Youth sports have never had the strict sex/gender boundaries that “XX-XY” activists are now trying to defend.

Andrew D Thaler@drandrewthaler.bsky.social

I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more

Not for nothing, there are few things as radicalizing as getting involved in childhood hunger issues. Once you realize how cheap it is to feed kids in need, how valuable it is to do so, and how often in the US we just choose not to do so, you get passionate about the issue fast.

found out that my mother in law decided she was aggressively pro trans rights literally by going, I don't know anything about this but everyone who is against trans rights is also against free school lunch, the issue I know and care a lot about, so this must be the correct way to feel about this
