I'm a lawyer, but I'm not your lawyer. Don't ask me for advice. There will come soft rains 'HAPPINESS FOR EVERYBODY, FREE, AND NO ONE WILL GO AWAY UNSATISFIED!' "

the upper middle class is so disconnected from their roots they've had to invent a new word for "porter's door"
Meet the Costco door. These miniature doors connect a garage to a pantry or kitchen so that shoppers can deadlift 25-pound bags of jasmine rice and liters of Kirkland Signature olive oil directly from their vehicles into their homes.

This is a mid-career tip. The transition from individual contributor to manager is a big career step. How common is this "fake out?" It depends on the company and level of the position. Best of luck to those of you trying to change lanes! #furryart #EdwinTip edwinatworklinks.carrd.co

Today, I resigned as Vice Chair of the ODP Pride Caucus. The state party expects us to be a sales team, censoring our voices when we beg candidates not to trade on trans lives. I am still a Democrat, but I will not value party approval over true, defiant advocacy. Full text below. π

now here's an alarmingly common sentiment among engineering students
Am I missing something here? In what universe would an engineering student ever study history?! Do many history students study engineering?! I *enjoyed* history at school, and I was *good* at it. But no way would I ever have studied it at university.
