Can't stop making 'em! Yet another sci-fi roguelike concept! This time it's with 2x2 tiles, rather than 1x1. #roguelike #pixelart #C64 #Commodore64

In 1996, Nintendo was seemingly very fond of a single particular stock photo of the sky, so that it ended up on the cartridge artwork of three different games released in that year: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and Pilotwings 64.

Adding #scamble style levels into my #picotron #moonpatrol. Randomly generated landscape (seeded so I can repeat layouts) and rockets. I think it'll fit in pretty well. Nice to mix it up. #gamedev #retrogaming #arcade

Pretty happy with this waterfall effect created with a 4-character animation loop, and two "planes" of graphic moving at different speeds within in the same character. #pixelart #C64 #Commodore64

Here's an easter egg in the new Lego Batman that I think all of you will REALLY appreciate. It's so good, I had to make a video.

Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.

Until recently, I'd been off social media for quite a while; that doesn't mean I wasn't toiling away on #PETSCII ideas in the background the whole time. #C64 #Commodore64 #pixelart #textmode

I am delighted to announce that I've 3D scanned the complete Super Mario Land keshi figure series, originally released by Bandai in Japan in 1989! All 21 of these vintage Mario toys--from Daisy to Tatanga, and everyone in between--can now be downloaded here: archive.org/details/kesh...
