The fact that the president's doctors are giving him the dementia test over and over again -- tracking his decline, most likely -- and that the president keeps bragging about having to take that test should be a five-alarm fire.
Trump: "You know, the first question -- they have a lion, a snake, a giraffe, and a bear. And they say 'which is the snake?' ... by the time you get to number five a lot of people are left out on the road ... I get no credit for it."

if you don't know your own address it's because you specifically don't have to know it. people that detached from reality shouldn't be in a position to drive social policy for those of us living in reality

Does anyone believe JD Vance would have the same opinion if a Democratic President removed Fox News? Hell, if they simply declined to call on a Fox News reporter for questions, he'd lose his mind...
JD Vance: "If you're gonna be a propaganda arm of the left, why would Donald Trump give you special access to his White House?" (It's not his!)

Well this is a man who's feeling very confident and not at all melting down in the background.
Q: On the checks, we have $40t in debt. If your economic policies are working, why do you need an incentive for people to turn out to vote? T: I'm doing it as a reward for having to put up w/Biden Q: You also offered tariff refunds-- TRUMP: Not you Q: And that didn't happen T: You're the worst

dem ad spot: run this tape, then: "that's right, the pointless and illegal war with iran *willI* end when you vote democrats into congress and we take back powers that trump has usurped for the executive"
Q: Do you expect negotiations with Iran to restart? TRUMP: Ahhhhhh. We're not looking for it. This war with end immediately after our election.

Obviously this is a hilarious and obvious lie but it's instructive in that Trump knows he's supposed to care about this thing, and manifestly does not and cannot care about it, and so he has to put himself into the story just to make it something he can talk about. He almost died that day!
Trump on 9/11: "I just thank my people. I was building a big building in New York & I took the whole crew down there right after this happened & they had no hesitation. Everybody went down with me... we thought it was coming down on top of us... two fireman lifted me up and started running with me"

More evidence that he can no longer distinguish between his fantasies and the real world.
Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."

The @washingtonpost.com at least hints at how bizarre this is: “torrent of online memes, taunts”. The @nytimes.com fails again, sanewashing it into some sort of actual policy proposal: “Trump floats renaming New Mexico” Neither of them is willing to print the truth: the president is crazy

As @brianbeutler.bsky.social argued, the next Democratic president should send bulldozers to the Supreme Court and tell them they have 15 minutes to decide if the Unitary Executive Theory is real.
Pretty brilliant how Trump is taking the Kennedy Center hostage, says he'll tear it down if he can't put his name on it www.usatoday.com/story/news/p... As Trump says, no one has ever seen anything like it before.

Your regular reminder that excluding crude oil the US has always had a large trade surplus with Canada.
Trump: "Canada has been ripping off the US for years...On January 1, Tariffs on all Cars, Automotive Parts, & Steel, will be increased to 50%...Canada will be treated like a State no longer! On Trade & in other ways they are among the worst Nations to deal with. WE DON’T NEED CANADA, THEY NEED US!"

This is Natalie Harp, the close aide to President Trump. These clips are from 2021 when she worked at OAN. She ended her program with a daily Bible quote. Sometimes she swapped out the Bible for a quote from Trump leading with "And remember what Trump said..."

Just a gobsmackingly bad answer that will propel this story deeper into scandal. And the central thesis is this: Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are incompetent and don’t give a flying f*** about our troops.
Q: The family members of US service members are concerned about the conditions on the USS Lincoln TRUMP: No they're not Q: Has the deployment gone on too long? TRUMP: No no no. Not nearly long enough.

It was hard to anticipate that the guy who had spent the last several decades monomaniacally focused on promoting lies about vaccines would, given authority over them, try to curtail access and cut off research. Send a wallet inspector to the Senate Republican Caucus.
