Ever have one of those days where you're "working" for 8 hours but get absolutely nothing done? Here's what that looks like vs. a day where things actually work out. Same 8 hours. I got curious enough to model why.

Here's an idea: model your day in terms of three numbers! a) how often you're interrupted, b) how long to recover, c) how much unbroken time your work needs. Simulate a few hundred days and you can see where things break. Sometimes with just one more interruption per hour.

there’s nothing quite like opening the door to your hotel room for the first time is there. the gentle, calm euphoria of glimpsing this magical room you get to live in but don’t have to clean or maintain. the little thrill of seeing the bed you get to eat in without consequences

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

theatlantic.comThe Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War PlansU.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

virtually impossible to make the case against that he either fully lost his mind to ketamine or is/has been a white supremacist

Elon Musk shared a post to his 219 million followers that Hitler didn't murder millions of people. Will the Trump administration search his home, shut down his government contracts, arrest and deport him back to South Africa the way they're going after college students and universities?

I need more funny / culture / shitposters on my timeline. Currently only following journalists and it kinda makes for a dark read, as you can imagine. Hit me with your best recommendations.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

It's fun watching which lists/starter packs I'm added to, which are generally things like "tech" or "news" or whatever, and then every few days there's one that's like "fucking idiot assholes I never want to hear from" and I appreciate the reminder that my posts are not for everyone.

Did you know ⌘ was initially used as a touristic attraction icon in Nordic maps? Many organizations rely on custom icons. Starting today, on Felt, you too can upload your organization's custom icon set and render them faster than you can like this post.
