About this H5N1 mink farm in Utah. It is REALLY dangerous to let bird flu spread unchecked through mammals, esp minks. They have similar susceptibility & respiratory physiology as us. Flu can adapt to human hosts by adapting to mink respiratory tracts. rasmussenretorts.substack.com/p/the-party-...

Deliver absentee ballots in person! Not enough time to mail them.

ATTN: Voters voting by mail in the 2026 General Election! If you have not returned your ballot & still intend to do so, utilize one of the following options: ➡ Take it your County Clerk's Office. ➡ Return it to a polling location or official election drop box in your county.

🚨BREAKING: The Trump administration asked Washington to set aside ballots from around 400 registered voters it claims may be noncitizens. The alarming request comes amid the DOJ's legal effort to compel California to do the same to 20k voters.

🚨BREAKING: In a blow to the DOJ, the 9th Circuit rejected its request to bypass a lower court to bar California from counting around 20k ballots from people it alleges are "likely" noncitizens. The ruling comes the night before the parties are scheduled to have a hearing before a lower court.

Govt's attempt to upend "long-settled case law" by invoking "stray language" from Slaughter and Trump v US is without merit and "would risk a return to the spoils system that Congress has sought to end since the 19th century."

Hungary's recent election was less free and more unfair than the upcoming US midterms, and pro-democracy forces still won. Similar point about Serbia's election this weekend. In normal democracy terms, America is in bad shape. But in consolidated authoritarianism terms, we're looking pretty good.

Good morning team. This is my median scenario too. But there are preparations to meet worse.

Andy Craig@andycraig.bsky.social

Yes. My median scenario is Trump rants, it becomes their talking point, DOJ probably files some more junk suits like these, but then not much else happens. There's real risk of worse, some full push to go insane on Jan 3, but more likely it doesn't get that far, and also that would still fail.

When President Trump first said the phrase “transgender for everyone," he meant it as an insult, a sign of how extreme his political opponents had become. Now, though, some LGBTQ artists, activists and allies are transforming the president’s oft-used words into a rallying cry.

This drives me CRAZY. I grew up playing sports w/ boys. I played on a U12 boys select soccer team, b4 switching to a U12 girls team that kept beating us. Nobody had any issue with any of it. Youth sports have never had the strict sex/gender boundaries that “XX-XY” activists are now trying to defend.

Andrew D Thaler@drandrewthaler.bsky.social

I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.
