Saw Wildwood today. It is an instant top five film for me of all time. Please, if you have the means, go support a truly exceptional artistic vision with a complex, rigorous, earnest story at the box office. Especially when it is such a timely repudiation and indictment of AI. We make powerful art.

To be clear. For the love of god please go see this movie in the theatre. We are in world where if this stuff isn’t an immediate huge success it begins to disappear. And I refuse to let this go #wildwood #studiolaika

well, on the one hand AI has made things significantly worse for everyone in almost every capacity that it has touched. But on the other hand, the dumbest guy you know can send emails nobody reads really fast now. So it's impossible to say whether it's good or not

Every movie, song, and book that you love was made without the technology that people who don’t make art are now insisting is necessary for making art.

They're taking everything we write, all our little thoughts, and using it to teach AI to act and write and live like us which is why i write so much about wanting to die. See you in hell stupid robot

If you use the phrase “it makes no business sense at all” when looking over the staffing of a public university, you should not be allowed within 500 yards of a state legislature.

I am serious that today’s journalism ecosystem would be fooled if they played war of the worlds on the radio. It would be on CNN within hours

A lot of people have said to me “but why would the government lie about the risks from Covid?” And I’m sorry but the answer is always because capital is valued over lives and they want you to go back to work, it was true in the mines, true on the railroads, true post-9/11, and true now.

The Supreme Court blocked the student loan forgiveness despite there being explicit statutory authority for Biden to do it and allowed the Iran War despite an explicit Constitutional prohibition on anyone besides Congress declaring a war.

It gets worse when you remember that the Strait of Hormuz was open before the war started. So we’re spending $40B and people are dying on both sides to return to the status quo from January. Everything is socialism unless it’s money for killing people in pointless forever wars.
