AlphaFold can now predict protein complexes at unprecedented scale. But once we have a predicted complex, the core question of how much we should trust the interface remains. Existing confidence scores are useful, but their meaning is not always obvious. #alphafold

This is an issue particularly close to my heart - women's basic physiology is far from understood, chronically underfunded and understudied. This needs to change to improve health outcomes. Here @plosbiology.org calls for more funding for basic research in this area & more exposure of the results 🧪

PLOS Biology@plosbiology.org

Despite recent progress in clinical research into Women’s Health, basic research is still lagging behind. This Editorial calls for a renewed focus on basic physiology research into both sexes to close the gap. 🧪#AcademicSky #WomensHealth #equity plos.io/4ckiAOu
