So good to read Green policies are getting cut thru in the wild. Also great to read @saycheeselouise.bsky.social getting some well deserved positive feedback to counter the usual ‘woman standing for public office’ trolling & abuse fuckery
Remember in Aug when Opp said it was going to remove its board’s veto power over its caucus? It’s bn 2 mths & no change to constitution since April. Override power is still there, cl 11.3 for fellow nerds Change is by gen meeting of members, 30d notice for SGMs so has bn plenty time #nzpol
Another simple policy from Greens that will make a huge difference to these future essential workers #nzpol
Or we could reform the tax system so the rich pay their fair share and have nice things like food health facilities that way
Great policy! I’d def take the train to Ōtautahi (at reasonable price). Meanwhile all Luxon can talk about is bloody roads as if anyone other than him and his donors can afford petrol these days 🙄 #nzpol
NZ1 candidate: "We've got a few issues in NZ & I don't have a great deal of confidence in the people that we've got there that they are going to solve those issues, " Do you think Taine knows it’s his guys in power atm or too many knocks to head in prev career 🤔. Also ex oil broker cos ofc #nzpol
Love this! Free Palestine 🇵🇸
'[People] who had public platforms and influence should not remain apolitical in the face of serious human rights violations, he said. “Therefore, ngā mihi nui to the person who wrote ‘Free Palestine’ on the mural. I implore the DCC to consider the words a valuable component of the mural.”' ✊

Vote toroa! 5 years ago a cohort of these magnificent birds took flight. They’re due to return for the first time over the next few weeks. Let’s welcome them with a long overdue win! They’re the only mainland colony in the world - they deserve it! #birdoftheyear #BOTY

1. Never trust an ‘anonymous’ staff survey 2. Tamatha was right: “These individuals can’t keep an anonymous internal survey secret,” he said. “You can’t expect to gain the trust and confidence of the public if the police force have no trust and confidence in their leaders.”

Or maybe just fund the health system properly #nzpol
Hey @top.org.nz, can you respond now you’re polling above 5%? Who sets your policies?
@top.org.nz still waiting
So much this! So sick of media overplaying the competence of some politicians while simultaneously overplaying the faults (sometimes merely perceived faults) of others. & always based on gender, ethnicity and where on the political left-right the person falls
I hate this. Luxon hasn't suddenly proven himself witless, indifferent, out-of-touch and unqualified. This is what he was always like and this here is how he should have been treated back when he was being floated for the party. He's a skip-bin fire of their own making, and we're worse off for it.

@top.org.nz I’d still like an answer to my question. Who sets your policies and how much sway will they have on any TOP MPs post election? If you’re new here, when you post on kikorangi there’s an expectation of interaction. You post, we ask questions, you respond 🤷🏻♀️
Finally! A few of us on here have sent requests to DIA about these grifty fuckers over the years. Good to hear they’re finally being investigated

Hey TOP please tell us who sets your policies. I understand it isn’t party members or candidates so who is it? If you get some MPs elected will the same people who set your policy direct them how to vote in the House?
Stuff running poll on which party’s plan for cost of living people think is best TOP rating highest of all options at moment followed by Greens then Labour
A no-brainer of a policy, still shocked this wasn’t part of the overhaul in the Privacy Act 2020. Proposed fines small by eg AU/EU standards but good to line them up w Commerce Commission fine levels. Enough to make it worthwhile for companies to consider privacy, currently it’s not
Absolute fucking ghouls (yet again) Oriini Kaipara & Ricardo Menendez-March w key points here: Technology is not neutral when the system is unequal And people literally died when Australia tried this bullshit

My cartoon in today's www.thepost.co.nz/nz-news/3609... No one else could possibly be a working person. Not the carers, not the stay at home parents, not the job seekers, not the disabled people, not the recently unemployed, not the students, not the ones with no children... #NzPol #Cartoon
