Oh, wow. There's a pedestrian counter right outside Prada at 45 Queen St, and one across the road at 30. It looks a bit like Prada has been killing foot traffic dead for everyone.

Astonishingly, this is not a joke. The organisers of the league called in police to enforce a trespass order after complaints from other parents that the wee lad was dominating the play by being too good. It's hard to express the inadequacy of adults who would do this.

They called the cops on this 3-year-old Black boy because he was kickin the white kids' ass on the soccer field.

The 20 Solid Gold Hits series was a New Zealand invention. Not the first hits compilations (K-Tel was randomly doing them) but they were *huge* in our small market. Some releases sold 120,000 copies! John McCready tells his story here: musicandmediastories.blogspot.com/2009/10/birt...

musicandmediastories.blogspot.comTHE BIRTH OF 20 SOLID GOLD HITSIt is 1969 and in Australia a marketing phenomenon was taking place. K-Tel was marketing compilation albums by using TV advertising ...

McCready would later go on to establish the RTC label with his Solid Gold Hits marketing manager Brian Pitts, having secured the distribution rights for Virgin Records. They subsequently unleashed the Sex Pistols on the unsuspecting youth of New Zealand.

When there’s finally an effort to hold these criminals accountable for the crimes they committed, we‘re going to see a lot of pundits wring their hands and say it’s politically motivated and insist we need to turn the page and look forward and a lot of other cliches that dumb assholes like to use.

Presumably this will last until someone notices that pardons remove 5th Amendment protections, but I suppose with this gang of clowns you never know.

You have to laugh at the sheer insanity of Turning Point UK being found to be organising literal contract killings and paid agitation at protests up and down the country and it barely even raises a flicker across the press. If that isn't 'terrorism' on some level I don't really know what is

Worth noting with this, it's not a vaccine in the sense of "take this x times and never get melanoma", it's a therapy used after surgical excision of your existing melanoma has occured. Then, using the removed tissue target mutations specific to your cancer are encoded into synthetic mrna

I was going to do a bit about this retrospective of Art of Noise's 'Moments In Love', which I found near-mint for $30 recently. Includes previously-unreleased work in-progress versions and it's amazing, a whole LP of different conceptions of the piece of music.

I mean, I get why Godley and Creme didn't want to participate in 'The Things We Do For Love', but they didn't need to leave the band about it. And no, 'Cry' isn't as good as 'I'm Not In Love'. It just isn't.

PS: In 1990 on Brixton high street, I was accosted by an excited 10 year-old kid who was *convinced* I was Eric Godley. It's never the pretty one in the band I'm mistaken for.

Four highly-talented individuals (multi-instrumentalists, producers, writers, very good singers and harmonisers), competing and collaborating on every part of the work, but in two camps: Gouldman and Stewart with the pop instincts and Godley and Creme in the art camp. But you have to ask ...

Why couldn't they do more with it? Why is 'I'm Not In Love' so far and away their best work? They made a lot of bubblegum, which is Eric Stewart's influence. It's *elevated* bubblegum that still sounds persuasive 50 years on, to be sure. But why just that one truly great recording?
