"... the reality is, it’s never been easy to get disability benefits; ... yet in a close election with every party looking for a scapegoat, even proving every single year that you have a disability ... to receive a tiny bit of support is considered too easy." #NZPol thespinoff.co.nz/politics/27-...

thespinoff.co.nzDavid Seymour clearly doesn't know how hard it is to get a disability allowance | The SpinoffAct has announced a policy to cut disability spending by $653 million over four years.

"But the preferred option comes with a price tag of more than half a billion." Oh no! We couldn't possibly run hourly trains between two of the North Island's three biggest cities for a price tag as steep as *checks notes* 1/7th the cost of a motorway to save a few minutes on the drive to Northland

Luxon is attacking labour for saying they'd like to have a short negotiation period when forming a govt. But luxons excuse for changing the enrolment rules was literally the same reason. This is luxon accidentally admitting he didnt change the enrolment rules to speed things up.

Incredibly important to share far and wide this election. As we’ve seen in consistent appalling headlines, and in lived experience on a daily basis, women and children are not a political priority in New Zealand. It’s very clear below who does have this top of mind - it’s vital to vote accordingly.

National has funnelled $2.4 billion of a total $3b increase to the private sector through its term - that's 80% of all its increased healthcare funding allocation. I've written at length on this topic and again today Privatisation kills - no more greater than in healthcare - reason NSW banned it

NONE of their arguments hold water. They made voting harder for no benefit at all. Totally unnecessary change. And they were told this at the time by the Electoral Commission.

This argument makes me so mad, so people don’t ever need to move house Mr Luxon? Everyone’s circumstance just stays the same? you giant ignoramus! #NZol

RNZ & journalistic failure becoming synonymous, particularly in political reporting running this "just reporting what was said" during an election is fucking wild Seymour even says he doesnt know! simply ask an expert instead of carrying misinfo attack lines on behalf of a far right politician??

Mortgage repayments overpowered loan drawdowns last quarter. For the avoidance of doubt, this is contractionary. It means repayments going back to banks (=money deleted) is more than value of new mortgage loans pumped into the economy (=money created). Explanation here: substack.com/home/post/p-...

1. Anything run or started by Jordan Williams should be considered the same organisation 2. You can bet he (and Seymour) would be super against anything even slightly slanderous aimed at ACT (see: Tim Jago) #nzpol

rnz.co.nzGreens blast 'backing the gangs' election billboard adsThe Greens have lodged a formal complaint against the Sensible Sentencing Trust (SST), accusing the lobby group of impersonating the party with its latest election attack ads.

Jordan Williams will keep pushing as far as timid regulators will allow. This time it's featuring the Green party's "for all of us" slogan on an astroturf billboard attacking them. #NzPol

Max Soar@maxsoar.bsky.social

RNZ asking the Sensible Sentencing Trust and TPU for comment on the new attack billboards is yet more evidence they learned nothing from Dirty Work. These are bad-faith PR orgs and RNZ is willfully running cover for them.
