Best way I’ve found to describe Dutch food is imagine French food and German food went to war, and they both lost. Dutch food would be the result.

Years ago, I was wearing a huge baggy t shirt at the gym and nearly had a severe injury when it caught on the machine I was using. I slipped it off before it strangled me. I never wear baggy pieces anymore at the gym. It’s a matter of safety and function. No reason for me to mention this.

When Dems talk about the Ilhan Omar situation, they need to stop using language that implies that Omar might have done anything wrong. Trump is not "investigating" Omar. They are trying to denaturalize and deport a sitting Congressmember by scrutinizing decades old paperwork from when she was a kid

Canadian thanksgiving is a better date. House smells like autumn and it’s just hit zero outside. The rain is coming, the leaves are blowing away, the air has a hint of smoke to it. I’m making a caramel apple pumpkin bunt cake.

I keep meeting anti-immigration immigrants. They are oblivious to their privilege and I don’t know how to talk to them without laughing at them. It’s an infuriating situation.

Wealth hoarding is 110% a pathology. You can not amass that sort of wealth without aggressive ethicless exploitation of other human beings. You can't think about anything *but* how to amass wealth. Compassion and empathy is right out the window.

One thing that sucks about being a good cook and sick is that unless it’s frozen, you have to make your own soup cuz pretty much everyone else sucks when you’re sick anyway so it’s sucky.

The work that makes money relies on the vast amount of work that doesn't. Basic income recognizes both, supporting the work such as that of care, creative work, research and study, and acting in the commons.
