Haven't we proven that 'declining birth rates' is just a right wing talking point? So why is RTÉ publishing a documentary on the topic as if it's the greatest concern of our time?

For those bringing life into the world, look after yourself, eat what you want and need, feed your infant. Don't get sucked into this shite of post-partum weight loss.

Consent is not about sex. Consent is about your body belonging to you & other people not having a right to touch you when you don't want to be touched. End of story!

Just to add that what DRCC are talking about here is a long-standing, bog standard position in books about parenting and among child psychologists and social workers. This is something that was uncontroversial a quarter of a century ago.

People who have experience working in charities know that being reliant on state funding has a chilling effect on how we do our jobs. The Minister for Justice intervened here to make a political point and undermined the work of those with the expertise to do the job. #spéirgorm

It doesn't matter if you're a grandparent, a political crank or an incompetent minister for justice - ANYBODY who wants to touch children (or any other person) IN ANY WAY without their consent needs to take a good, long look at themselves.

Personally I would like an AI minister to take words of wisdom from computer scientists (not random CEO tech bros, actual scientists who think about ethics) and not share the thoughts of a Bishop on TV.

The Hugh Lane has now been closed for a year (out of a projected 3 years), yet no work on the surrounding library has started. It feels like this will take as long as building a children's hospital, in the meantime a generation of kids won't have the same access to the art they are studying.

Its a piece of fucking code 🙄

Can the new cutting-edge AI models feel pain? They at least behave as if they do, according to a recent study. The work, which has not been peer reviewed, has divided #AI researchers. https://scim.ag/4hHU6BA

As I tell everyone, you can order any book in the country through your library and if you don't have Borrowbox on your phone, tablet, e-reader, go download it today!

Oh is it like a townhall meeting kind of thing? Can I speak at it next? Or, shockingly, do they only care what billionaires think, and feck the rest of us?
