I'm argentinian, born and raised, never left and never will. I'm by no means an expert in politics or finance, but I'm HERE, I live and work HERE. I can offer the perspectives your news outlets would never. Just ask.

Turned on my PS4 today. Dragon Age Inquisition with every DLC and pack is in there Mass Effect Andromeda is in there. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also in there I have physical copies for Andromeda, Inquisition and also Veilguard. And one can only laugh, but I have a physical copy for Anthem too

On my PS4 of course I have Veilguard and on my laptop I presumably have DAO and DA2 as well, but I'm not ok enough to check if they're still playable, I don't have the strength to battle with that right now. I guess what I'm trying to say is I loved all of it, dearly, and I'll never be over this.

For the record, BioWare has previously referenced it as ME5. Not in PR, but in tweets, taglines and metadata. Please stop the “It’S NoT Me5” headcanons 😔🙏🏼

One day after EA shut down BioWare, a trailer has begun circulating for what some claim was supposed to be Mass Effect 5, a game called Mass Effect: Universe starring Liara T'Soni and a new protagonist. https://kotaku.com/mass-effect-5-universe-leaked-trailer-liara-bioware-2000748858

This is a huge component of what I discuss in my book. Chaya Raichik doesn't play video games; she's a garden-variety doxxer, transphobe, and homophobe with atrocious fashion sense. But the gamer culture wars have seeped into mainstream culture wars and the noxious slime is spreading everywhere.

As someone who lives with depression and currently has their mental health in shreds because of the current state of the world right, idek what's holding me together. I've been participating in protests and I can't even tell if that's just me following my ideals or just self-destructive behavior

Remembering my time working on Dragon Age Keep Some early illustrations from it, inspired by the animated cutscenes from DA II and made in 2013-214. Originally intended to be mostly grayscale, this was later changed and recolored for the final release by the amazing concept art team at Sperasoft

And we never got the DAO/DA2 remaster we always hoped for Both games are unplayable on consoles now and pretty difficult to run on PC -legally or otherwise- I've been trying to digest the very likely possibility I may never play DA2 again.. Hell is not hot enough for EA to rot in.

Since it's all over now, can someone pretty please very accidentally release the whole lore bible? Or share what was planned for that secret epilogue in Veilguard?? Blame it on the massive php hacking disaster or something? Idk, anything

I want to take a moment after the chaos of today to say something about the fandom, and bring up a post from former Dragon Age writer @thatotherwriter.bsky.social It was posted over a year ago when the DA team was laid off, but still applies: Dragon Age isn't dead because it's yours now.

Just when I think I'm at a loss for words, more words pour out of me. "Every creative behind these games has left a piece of their soul in them and in turn every player that got to experience and enjoy these stories have made them part of ours." I have nothing but love to share, just love.

The very last task I had at BioWare before I left to pursue a new opportunity was to paint this pose of Solas embracing the Inquisitor (I didn't paint this entire image, it was just the figures). Even at the time it felt poignant that this would be my last contribution to Dragon Age.

I feel obliged to once again reiterate that lay offs and closures are not a reaction to the economy, but a failure of leadership. Each wave of closures and layoffs should be looked upon as a consequence of greed and incompetence. If you can't keep your people employed, you are bad at your job.

Absolutely destroyed by the news about BioWare today… As difficult as Veilguard was, those were some of the best, most talented and passionate people I’ve ever worked with and I’d give anything to do it again if it meant I got to do it with them. I genuinely had some of my best years there.

I will always be grateful to Bioware for bringing Lucanis into my life and, by extension, you all. In a meager attempt to brighten the mood, I am asking you to submit your cameo like prompts here. On Friday, I will create a poll with selected prompts and you can vote on which you'd like me to do. Go

Came across this while looking through my DA art. Iirc I doodled it to cheer someone up who was having a bad day, so guess I'll post it for all of us today

Some of BioWare's best work comes from people who wrote codex entries and npc barks. There's a goddamn reason my friends and I parrot the chant of light and other thedosian works back and forth to each other. Masterful shit.

I sincerely hope people take two minutes to consider before jumping on hate trains after all this. But that hope has better chances if I just throw it in the bin. People won't learn, they never do and I'm so damn fucking tired.

So, some news... After 14 years at EA (twelve with BioWare and two with Motive), I'm moving on to other things. I wrote more about this for my October Jot Notes on Patreon (which you can read for free): www.patreon.com/posts/172601...

I got a few more words on IG.. You may have noticed I'm not around here much (or at all). Life has just been awful for longer than I can handle, I'm trying my absolute best, which at this point is not much really, and I just don't have any energy left. This couldn't come at a worse time for me.

Dragon Age is my favorite series. For a long, long time, it was basically my entire life. I'm grateful the 4th and final game happened, and I'll be forever unforgiving of how devs and the game itself were treated, by executives and so-called fans alike. We all deserved better.
