I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

kotaku.comWhat Does It Even Mean To β€˜Save’ Mass Effect? - KotakuThousands of fans are rallying around a campaign to save the series after BioWare's shutdown, but what does that look like?

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

I know the vast majority of you are here because of my art, but I need to share a thread about Brazilian politics because what we achieved today deserves to be mentioned and celebrated I'll do my best to be objective for those who have no idea what was happening

Looking for game devs who have been directly inspired by anything BioWare for my next video. I suspect the public likely doesn’t quite realize the extent of their influence on the industry, so I’d really like to highlight that. If you are one such game devs, pls reply to this post!

For @gamespot.com, I revisited BioWare's history of queer representation and how it always strove to depict LGBTQ characters and stories with nuance and respect. It wasn't always perfect, but gaming wouldn't be where it is today without Mass Effect or Dragon Age. www.gamespot.com/articles/bio...

Remembering my time working on Dragon Age Keep Some early illustrations from it, inspired by the animated cutscenes from DA II and made in 2013-214. Originally intended to be mostly grayscale, this was later changed and recolored for the final release by the amazing concept art team at Sperasoft

I haven't done a lot of Dragon Age Fanart in the last three years, but here are some of my all time favs that I painted. I even got to work with BioWare in official capacity and I will forever treasure this. β™₯️ Dragon Age literally changed my life. It breaks my heart to see the studio closing.

Dragon Age truly changed my life, I met so many cool people through the fandom and also evolved as an artist and I even had the pleasure to work with Bioware, truly a dream come true. The Bioware team past and present inspired me and many more and it will continue to do so.

Train of art inspired by Bioware games Truly breaks my heart. A lot of good memories especially with DA games, and tons of art during the years. I've done the first DA ones so long ago that I didn't even do digital art back then and those only exist in some old sketchbook form.

Love the idea, let's start a train of art inspired by Bioware games ❀️ These stories mean the world to me, its characters inspired me for years, the artists and writers behind them literally helped shape my artistic journey. I am thankful for everything you've created 🫢

Saaame I was too sad to share my Bioware inspired art yesterday but here are some faves πŸ’œ both personal fanart and commissions for some lovely fans of the games. Dragon Age is by far the world that's inspired me the most over the years and I'll cherish that forever

I was way too emotional for this yesterday, but I love this idea! ❀️ Here's some of my bioware fanart and inspired art. I've never been one to draw a lot of fanart for the same franchise, but I'm now itching to go back and play DAO again and I wanna draw all the fanart I couldn't do back then...

Jumping on the bandwagon to show my love for Bioware πŸ’• I'm still way too heartbroken to really say much. DA was the series that shaped me over the past eleven yrs. The stories, the characters, the worldbuilding, the art direction. I will never be able to thank the studio enough. Thank you, Bioware.

Let's keep the train of art inspired by Bioware games going πŸ’– DAO was one of the first games I played as an adult and Veilguard lifted me from a creative slump. I'd not be where I am artistically without it. ME and DA got me through so much and I'll forever be thankful to the devs for creating them

Absolutely devastated with the Bioware news. Mass Effect was my intro to sci-fi, and it was my first time being able to make a hero that looked like me - his asianness wasn't the butt of any joke. He was a hero. That meant the world to me, before I had the words to explain it.

Former BioWare Senior Writers Mary Kirby (Varric, Vivienne, Lucanis) and Sylvia Feketekuty (Liara, Josephine, Emmrich) and Sarah Hayward (Former BioWare Cinematic Director) have found a home at North Mist with many others in our network.

Very heavy news as our former studio, BioWare closes its doors today. It was a formative place for many. However, many former BioWare devs are scattered around the industry. Find them, support them. Like, follow, comment and help us prove there is still support for the types of games we make!

In the wake of the news... feel free to quote with your art, fic, edits, etc. to show our love! Salutes in chat for the end of an era 🫑 Dragon Age truly is ours and no one can take that from us.

Casting a net of questionable size here, if you’re an ex-BioWare dev (or know of one who may not see this) working on something cool you’d like featured in a roundup at Kotaku, drop it below. Store page links helpful, and let me know what your role was at BW. Projects big and small welcome! RTs plz!

Mass Effect got me into playing games after years of not really being a gamer. Dragon Age got me back into drawing. I developed my art so much back then, powered by fascination with Dorian Pavus. It also allowed me to meet so many great people that I'm still good friends with, even years later
