hi. yet another twitter refugee here. I like sour beers, ultimate frisbee, cats, and javascript. by day I help save the internet from disinformation and misinformation; by night I play a lot of puzzle-based video games and bang around on various tech-for-public-good type projects.

I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, β€œthis will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, β€œwe will survive” Let’s do that some more

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

it's a discrete partnership with the CIA because historically those partnerships definitely aren't continuous, amirite

Same paper, same journalist, a few weeks apart. I'd say it was cognitive dissonance, but that gives them too much credit. It's simply propaganda in the service of xenophobia and racism

I’m on a flight next to a guy who is listening to Seinfeld with no headphones and all I hear is the laughtrack and the worst bass noises of all time every 15 seconds and all I can think about is this.

Another campaign finance report from the Yes on 3 (top-two primary) campaign, and again, it's almost all from private equity and the investor class. $1.3M in new money, and 80+% of it coming from just 8 donors--7 private equity executives and investment firm managers plus 1 investment firm itself

Samuel Alito: We won't overturn Obergefell because it's engendered reliance interests. Jan Crawford: Well, many people had organized their lives around Roe v. Wade. Alito: No, they didn't. Women merely had an "abstract" interest in "ideas about the kind of society that they were going to live in."
