Multiple things are true here. This is a fascist, authoritarian administration. It has not yet fully consolidated power. Some of its efforts to do so have been frustrated. Trump is a doddering, confused egomaniac who started an unpopular war that's costing everyday people a lot of money.

🧵1/2 Trump’s regime just cut over $1 billion from addiction and mental health care. That money supports treatment programs, counselors, and crisis services. Slashing it during a worsening mental health emergency, especially for teens and young adults, literally puts lives at risk. I’m beyond fury.
