interesting that conservatives were militantly “we must reward hustle” when the target was affirmative action at elite universities and now, when faced with the success of south asians and other groups, it is “i think we are too meritocratic”
It's absolutely bonkers to me that this image led directly to this tweet.
This admin has consistently broken the law in a way that cuts to the core principles in the constitution, and so far congress has just sat back and watched. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
We should try having some group of people who get to vote on approving agency heads like OMB director.

I’m so old I remember when conservatives were indeed quite vocal about saying children should not have babies.
Fox News complains that underage teenage girls aren’t getting pregnant enough: “The problem is teens and young adults. From ages 15-19, the fertility rate is down 70% in the last 2 decades, which means we are telling people who are young not to have babies.”

these guys need to go to jail for this, theres no coming back from this without it
Video of an ICE agent pulling a gun on a wife and mother, who is a US citizen born and raised in the area, near Bailey's Crossroads in Northern Virginia yesterday. Chillingly, they claimed she “almost ran them over” until she told them she had video proving that was a lie.
I hope the next admin is ready to hire an army of attorneys to prosecute corruption. Taking bribes, steering govt contracts to yourself or your buddies, all of it.
FCC Chair Brendan Carr’s latest financial report said Paramount gave him tickets to the 2025 Kennedy Center gala worth $12,390. He and his wife sat in skybox seats. Such seats sold for $125,000 a piece, according to Kennedy Center guidelines.

This got me to finally read the entire New Yorker article on the Tates and... yeah. I don't see how what they're doing is any different than what everyone has accused Jeffrey Epstein of doing. Except they're *more public* about admitting to what they're doing AND getting young men to join in.
However horrible you think the Tate brothers are, I promise, it's worse than that. It's insane that Dems aren't making a bigger deal of the GOP embracing these grotesque monsters.
This is insane and should not be hand waved away as normal. There would be wall to wall coverage if a Dem withheld disaster funds to Alabama.
“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...

Scalded her with boiling water Put a gun to her head Punched her in her face Broke your grand daughters collarbone And Bennie Moreno ain’t beat his ass yet???? Every time i see you in DC it’s on sight
“Ms. Moreno, the daughter of Senator Moreno ... has said that Mr. Miller scalded her chest and stomach by throwing hot water from a skillet at her body; held a gun to her head; pushed her against a wall and hit her head; and fractured their daughter’s collarbone and bruised her shoulder. ...
Really though, that movie is fantastic. I watched it based on @swiftonsecurity.com ‘s recommendation. Similarly I say, go in cold without looking it up first.
AOC on a movie that made her cry PabloReports: When’s the last time a piece of art—film, music, whatever—made you cry? AOC: Okay, let me go with the worst time one made me cry. I was on an airplane watching… what is that movie? The one about aliens with a linguist? Arrival. With Amy Adams.

Insurance, how does it work?
Dr Oz on ACA "fraud" -- "Of the people who signed up, 40% never use the insurance. Let me ask you, John, you have health insurance -- do you use it once a year? In Obamacare right now 40% of the people ostensibly signed up never use the insurance ... we have a lot of fake people on the policies"

The facts of this case are bad. County wrongly claimed family owed $2,000 in taxes, foreclosed on the home, and sold a house it assessed at $190K for just $76K and tried (unsuccessfully) to keep all $76K. Screwed a family out of tens of thousands to collect $2,000 that they didn't actually owe.
The Supreme Court's fourth opinion is Pung v. Isabella County. Per Alito, the court holds that when the state forecloses upon a house due to outstanding property taxes, it owes the former owner only "the price obtained in a tax sale" under the takings clause. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

North American Schengen region, we should absolutely make this happen! Pitch it as a huge money saver by reducing regulations and costly border enforcement and creating more freedom for Americans.
I do want to note that he specifically does not limit this to already rich, never mind specifically European/white countries. You can be skeptical that it would work out that way but frankly it's hard to have any kind of optimism about border politics rn, I'll take ambitious thinking

This is textbook racism. As in, this is an example that an elementary teacher might use to explain racism to a child: "If someone says all members of a particular race are stupid, that's racism, kids." Any news outlets that uses any word for this except racism is not reporting the truth.
Trump: "They're all crooks. The Somalians. What they've done to Minnesota. The Somalians. They're crooked as hell. They're all crooks."

The economics are brutal. Anywhere that a litre of diesel costs more than 10 kilowatt-hours of electricity, an EV truck pays for itself in 12-14 months. After that, it will be more profitable than diesel every single month: www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...

What do conservatives always say when liberals criticize a Supreme Court decision? "Get Congress to pass a law," right? That is EXACTLY what happened here. In 1982, Congress explicitly overruled a Court case that narrowly interpreted the VRA. Today, Sam Alito said, nope, we were right all along.

The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.
So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out

Folks, the Hungarians just ousted Orban after he spent a decade and a half consolidating power. The odds the Hungarian resistance faced were far worse than what we’re facing in the US. Like abolitionists and civil rights activists have learned here, everything seems impossible until it isn’t.
Veteran Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has conceded defeat in a parliamentary election and congratulated Péter Magyar, leader of the opposition party Tisza. See more: https://cnn.it/3NWizaA
