I know we don't feel like there's much to celebrate this July 4th. It's been a rough several years. So I want to talk about how we're making history right now.

New @abpi.bsky.social guidance risks excluding #HIV advocates from conferences — suggesting we’re too “impressionable” to hear about treatments. We reject this. People with HIV are informed, critical partners in progress. You can read our response below. #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #HIVAdvocacy

The job of the EHRC is to champion the rights of all protected groups and to foster good relations between these groups helping advise and integrate their interests in non discrimination Baroness Kishwer Faulkner makes absolutely plain that she just sided with anti trans activists over trans rights

Women are unsafe on a daily basis - statistically due to men they already know. Want to make women safer? Change rape laws, fund refuges properly, end femicide, address misogyny in boys and men, improve healthcare. Taking aim at trans women does nothing to make women safer.

Slashing benefits to meet an arbitrary fiscal target would be unethical, short sighted and illogical. ❌ 2 in 5 people receiving disability benefits already experience hardship. This means they are either unable to afford enough food, heat their home or pay household bills. 1/3

Might I not so politely suggest that Streeting yeets himself into the sun. Yes, diagnosis has improved, and people are becoming more aware of mental health issues. That doesn't mean they are being "overdiagnosed". It is more likely they were previously under-diagnosed. www.bbc.com/news/article...

🔥Very exciting data presented at #CROI2025 and just published in the Lancet: PK data for once year IM Lenacapavir are higher than twice a year SC Len at 56week and support phase 3 study for PrEP. The public health impact of yearly LEN for prevention would be huge! #IDSky

Keith Haring’s Silence=Death was painted in 1988, the year he was diagnosed with AIDS. The Pink Triangle referred to the badges worn by gay men in concentration camps. It reflected the US Government’s long silence on AIDS. 24,559 Americans died of AIDS before Reagan publicly referred to the disease.

CDC took the brunt of it for HIV content, but HIV.gov & even DHHS antiretroviral treatment guidelines have deleted transgender people in some places. www.poz.com/article/cdc-...

All I can really say at this point is if everyone isn't watching how trans people have lost basic rights and protections on a scale that hasn't been seen in decades in the span of 72 hours and realizing that even if you aren't trans there's nothing stopping it from happening to you, you're a fool

The only thing I really know about starting something is that you don't need to know what you're doing, but you do need to be curious, try hard, be good to people, not make excuses, and honor your commitments. And the best part is that none of that costs a penny.
