An inquest heard that police and coroners dismissed injuries to a young woman's body that an independent pathologist said would have prompted him to do a forensic sexual assault test. #mmiwg And that's just one of the disturbing points from this case. Full story here: thetyee.ca/News/2026/07...

thetyee.caWhat Really Happened to Tatyanna Harrison? | The TyeeA belated coroner’s inquest was supposed to provide answers. Instead, it raised troubling questions.

I've reported a lot on OneBC and Dallas Brodie, the party that did its best to promote residential school denialism and attack Indigenous rights in this province. Tonight she lost her riding of Vancouver-Quilchena about as hard as you can lose.

I'm hanging out at BC NDP HQ tonight and I have to say the atmosphere is... muted. @isaacphannay.bsky.social is posted over at the BC Conservative election night party at Rocky Mountaineer Station. Our first file on the night: thetyee.ca/News/2026/10...

This is deeply troubling.

This is a publicly funded government agency refusing to share weather warnings and their own public warnings with a journalist at Global News, one of the larger mainstream news outlets in Canada. I really want you to sit with the bare facts of that.

Notable LGBTQ2S+ results for Vancouver city council: ✨ Solomon Yi-Kieran is non-binary uses they/them pronouns. ✨ Devyani Singh is queer. ✨ And not for nothing, Sean Orr is regularly seen in a "protect trans kids hat," and I can report he was LOUDLY leading chants at the Trans March this year.

Because BC is going through 2 elections at the same time, I flippantly told a political comms person I'd be "working all weekend" but that's not quite true I'm going to the Elizabeth Holmes documentary this afternoon and I definitely do not want to be disturbed from 12-3 thank you in advance

A couple little slides I made this morning showing just HOW MUCH Vancouver voters came out to vote. Turnout was dramatically higher than in 2022: in 2026 there were 209,214 ballots cast compared to 171,494 in 2022. #vanpoli

This is an absolutely bonkers story. The amounts are incredible, not to mention the conspiracy theory nonsense

Lauren Dobson-Hughes@ldobsonhughes.bsky.social

Anyone who's ever had a tax agency clawback disability or child benefit, or been challenged on a business parking expense stares in disbelief Some delulu conspiracy theorist claims CRA owes him $40m because he's a sovereign citizen, and CRA dutifully coughs up said $40m www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
