I study money in politics for a living which means I have to wait for post election spending reports to know key facts like 1. How much did the past election cost or 2. which person was the biggest spender or 3. Which corporation was the biggest spender. Or 4. How much dark money was spent. 🤑

I can be patient. Reporters typically are not and so I get all sorts of questions pre-election trying to answer the above questions prematurely. But as a consequence I watch a lot of election coverage and man alive this (2026) is a weird election with bonkers financial & legal Hail Marys. 👀💰🗳️
