In the back of the drawer I found the watch that I lost at the start of the pandemic, and so I kept digging and so I kept digging to see if I could find the other things that I lost at the start of the pandemic, but (alas) my faith in other people wasn’t in there.

Please don’t judge disabled people for staying in abusive relationships. You can’t imagine the terror of being financially and/or physically dependent on someone for survival. There’s no one to step in and rescue us. This is why disabled people have higher rates of abuse. We can’t escape.

So we fly a pride flag in our front yard in a very conservative neighborhood and it’s been there for the last few years. Someone put this in our mailbox and my goodness…
