anecdotal info that i'd be curious to hear from other musicians too: have the royalties per play you received from streams on Tidal also shot up massively after they banned ai-gen music? i'm talking like, almost double the royalties per play i got before that, about a full cent per play

*banned ai-gen music from receiving royalties, i know it’s still on there but shitheads can't make money off it anymore which is still a massive improvement

i think it's worth pointing out that this would be an absolute nightmare for all cinemas except the massive chain multiplexes that have like 10+ screens anyways

like if you're a smaller theater, you maybe even only have one or two screens, what do you do then? buy only one of the films to screen, if so which one do you pick? buy all 4 and pay a lot extra to show them in alternating timeslots and block off your entire schedule for this?

I've tried to explain this to people, but the average game-liker is very weird about stores. They will only ever use one. They do not remember the age where things were spread across multiple outlets. The idea of clicking a second icon on their desktop (let alone a third) is anathema. It sucks!

my party got wiped and instead of getting a game over, the game puts me to floor 0, had me pick other characters, my old party was left ko'ed on floor 23, so instead of grinding up the other characters, i used all the teleports i unlocked beforehand to rescue my old party avoiding every encounter

coming up with that solution was so satisfying, my party was massively underleved and would’ve gotten curbstomped by any encounter on those floors, so using the descension/ascension skills to quickly move floors and shift to avoid enemies along the way felt like i beating the game at its own rules

i really respect the guts of Void Stranger to only have one achievement on Steam that you immediately get for starting a new game, especially for games built around mystery like that, system-wide and very easily publically visible info like this can be such a detriment
