@wulfhelm.bsky.social Today I visited the final resting place (until barbarians came and dug him up) of a dead king. It was raining. Luckily there was an indoor bit.
@wulfhelm.bsky.social You know that old saying - “I’m going to hate myself in the morning”. Yes, that. Yellowtail, eh?”
I would like to say that the little poem that everyone likes so much was posted by @cheapknockoff.bsky.social
It’s nice to see someone in Labour refuting Reform rather than reinforcing them.
'He might be telling those people to go home. As our country's health and social care secretary, I want to say directly to those people... they are home' Wes Streeting criticises Reform's plans to deport people from the UK if they fail to meet stricter rules👏
Amusing fact; the British beaches were originally called Goldfish, Jellyfish and Swordfish. But no one wanted to be Jellyfish and there wasn’t any the fish starting with “J”, so it became just Gold, Juno and Sword.

The radical thing they should have been doing *from the start* is calling out his far-right-bollocks. Stop the bloody pandering and pussyfooting.
The Times editorial line: "sieve" the entire population so we can put 100s of thousands of people into camps. "Removing a city’s worth of people would be an extended exercise. Identity cards would be a must if the population was to be sieved into legitimate and illegitimate camps" archive.ph/78dcP

"Future historians will surely debate at great length whether it was economics or media culture or simple incompetence that led the Starmer government’s moral compass to break. But they surely won’t debate who, out of the Taliban or the people who fled from their regime, were actually the baddies."

In order to be a tapestry it needs to come from the Bayeux district in France. Otherwise it’s just a sparkling embroidery.
FFS THE BAYEUX "TAPESTRY" IS NOT A TAPESTRY. IT'S AN EMBROIDERY. TAPESTRIES ARE WOVEN. THE BAYEUX "TAPESTRY" IS SEWN. IN ABOUT 50 YEARS WE'LL HAVE THE 1000-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF PEOPLE MAKING THIS ELEMENTARY MISTAKE. SORT IT OUT, PEOPLE. Nor is it from Bayeux. www.theguardian.com/culture/2025...
