Are any of Republicans responding to this from their fainting couches today?

OBAMA: "Trump is focused on enriching himself & his family/friends. A Venezuelan billionaire wanted a pardon, so he paid a Trump lawyers $50 million — and lo & behold! The pardon falls out of the sky... We’ve never seen a president straight-up grifting on your dime like this."

OBAMA: When I was president, all these Republicans are all deficits, deficits, debt, debt. You got to do something about it. And now—$40 trillion—Crickets. Somehow deficits only matter when a Democratic president is in office

I remember when media did a whole bunch of stories about Joe Biden’s shoes to emphasize that he was old. But Trump can randomly blurt out random noises, fall asleep constantly in meetings, and walk like a drunk failing a sobriety test, and we get almost nothing.

Attorney General Todd Blanche leaves open the possibility that the Justice Department could seek to block states from certifying votes in the midterm elections, though Blanche insists it wasn’t his intention to “improperly interfere with elections.”

nbcnews.toBlanche won’t rule out DOJ post-election action in a ‘doomsday’ scenarioThe attorney general’s comments come in the middle of a broader campaign by the Trump administration to zero in on what elections experts say is a relatively rare phenomenon of voting by noncitizens.

A woman in Arkansas was seeking care for a life-threatening miscarriage. Under the state’s strict abortion ban, no doctor would treat her. “Our hands are tied behind our backs,” one doctor told her. “Tell your friends to vote differently.” (Published May)

propublica.orgShe Faced a Life-Threatening Miscarriage. Under Arkansas’ Abortion Ban, Even Calls to the Governor’s Office Didn’t Help. Her case shows how abortion bans have left hospital lawyers, not doctors, deciding who gets care — and how lawmakers and regulators have failed to change that.

Glad to see CNN reporting on this. @jimacosta.bsky.social and I raised concerns about DHS potentially using a military-grade “heat ray.” After 20+ years in national security, I find this deeply troubling. A weapon designed to inflict intense pain. Against civilians? Why does DHS need this?

Loved that Alex Gibney quote on MSNOW a little bit ago: “Musk has the money to keep Trump in power, and Trump has the power to keep Musk in money." Really sums up 99% of that relationship. The only thing I’d add is “...and out of prison."

Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.
