it's cool that we are seeing our government enthusiastically handed over to an unelected immigrant who is liquidating our country like he did Twitter. anyone with any power not standing up to this and throwing their bodies on the gears are complicit.
There isn't a country on earth where this oligarch won't take his outsize ego and try to influence its political system.
It is dangerous to allow such a fundamentally bad man to have so much money and power.
🔺 NEW: Elon Musk has called for Nigel Farage to be replaced as Reform UK leader, saying he “doesn’t have what it takes” ⬇️

Trump 2 is Elon Musk gone wild, the world's richest man canceling Christmas checks and stealing cancer care from children.
If Democrats can't make this guy a villain, they should all RETIRE.
Starting with the Chuck Schumers and Dick Blumenthals. Your time is up. Get the fuck out of Washington.
The Musk model: just accuse everyone else of lying while you tell demonstrable lies, again and again.
And millions believe it.
We are in an unbelievably dangerous moment for democracy right now, with the entire public square polluted and undermined by the tech bosses.

it seems we have reached that point in the crypto cycle where huge publications run irresponsible headlines like this one, and the people who see them and buy in get wrecked
is billionaire on billionaire violence taboo or can we openly root for it?
like is it okay for us to openly call for bezos to unalive musk to take that top spot we know he wants?
there is something about seeing the world's richest man strangle our government with very little effort that has really cemented that the US is an oligarchy.
President Elon Musk wants to shutdown the government so he can pave the way for massive tax cuts for him and his billionaire insiders while your fucking grandma pays the bill out of her social security check.
it has always been a long reaction to the New Deal. from then to now, capital had seen the New Deal as the sin that must be purged so that the rest of us understand our place as grist for their mills
Our democracy has been sold. The #BrokenPost waits 25 paragraphs to note without irony this "could ethically compromise the incoming administration." First draft of complicity.
Elon Musk put $277 million into the election. Now he’s $200 billion richer. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

constant headlines of how much billionaires are going to cut and take away from average Americans is probably not a smart game plan either. but you keep doing you GOP.
it would be nice if the fbi spent some time unravelling musk's numerous complex businesses, charities and contracts approved through courts with judges that are directly invested in said businesses. it's malpractice that they haven't and now that he's bought our government that's prob not happening

I think being missed in all the shock at the reaction to the CEO murder is, sure it's partly a reaction to our inhumane health insurance situation, but I think it's also in the context of the details coming out about how billionaires just bought an election through well financed mendacity.
Related to recent discourse™, I've noticed how becoming anti-woke and/or anti-trans produce brain rot across every field of human inquiry. Once a person goes down that route, they become incapable of producing thoughtful / interesting commentary on any issue, even if they had in the past.
this is pathetic. every change he implements is so self-serving it's embarrassing. he has turned a once revolutionary communication and media tool into his personal group chat.
Lol. One week after the Economist published this chart showing the dude can't stop tweeting in the middle of the night, Elon removes time stamps from tweets.
if this is true, the continued takeoff of Bluesky would be a matter of world-historical significance: the contrived decline in referral traffic to news sites from social media platforms is a load-bearing aspect of our currently screwed up information ecosystem
i’ve been seeing people joining bluesky saying their feeds are dull or slow and want more people to follow, i put together a startpack of people i think are very funny, smart, i’m friends with, and people we had on western kabuki!
what bothers me most is that the key allegations included in this have already been reported. and they would have been known by trump's team before the AG nomination. none of this should be surpise. the fact he was nominated continues to be what's bonkers and concerning.
Bluesky now has over 20M people!! 🎉
We've been adding over a million users per day for the last few days. To celebrate, here are 20 fun facts about Bluesky:
