I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

There are only two explanations for the NYT's habit of presenting GOP operatives and donors as true swing voters: 1. Their reporters and editors are somehow incapable of running a simple Google searches, showing just a staggering level of journalistic incompetence 2. They want to the GOP to win

It's well-documented that the president maintained a years-long friendship with the world's most notorious child sex trafficker. It might strike you as odd there aren't direct allegations of Trump engaging in child sex trafficking.. except there are. There are SO MANY. They just never get reported!

Never forget that when Seoul, Korea removed the Cheonggyecheon expressway in 2003 and replaced it with a restored stream, 1000 acre park and improved public transit, not only did it TRANSFORM the city’s public life and economic success, but the car traffic got better. The car traffic got BETTER.

Early this year, I visited Ingram, a TX town of ~1,900, to check out a tip. The area was starting to recover from its worst flood in a century. But as Latino workers drove to jobsites to help rebuild, the tipster said, a cop in a black Dodge Charger kept stopping them ... 🧵

I’m worried that when we nationalize SpaceX we’ll reward the world’s worst investors rather than enforce a realistic valuation.

A president saying clearly and with his full chest “I am directing the Department of Justice” to do … anything, would have been a five-alarm scandal in previous years. Now? It’s just a Tuesday.

Trump on Camp Lejeune water contamination claims: "If we win the House and Senate, I am directing the Department of Justice to settle all remaining legitimate claims as soon as possible ... if we don't win, there's no money."

My brain cannot process this level of corruption. She was being paid $50 million to engineer a pardon from Trump *while working at the Justice Department* as a "Special Government Employee." And it worked. He got the pardon, and she got the money. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...

He got it not long after his daughter gave Ms. Habba, a lawyer close to President Trump, an extraordinarily lucrative job.

The dept. claimed the vehicle helped “locate foster children who have been victims of sex trafficking… Lawmakers questioned why nearly $1 million was spent on mobile surveillance while foster children face shortages in trauma therapy, caseworker support and basic transportation for family visits.”

Universities used to be a place that had upward mobility, but we fired all of the janitors and cafeteria workers and subcontracted that out, so their kids could not get tuition remission.

It strikes me as much more dangerous than other bubbles of the past, because it's not just economies that they've subverted to this mania, but so much else. When it all comes crashing back to Earth, even if these people are held accountable (ha ha), the things they break will still be broken.

Let’s impeach him for it though. Right away.

Trump had people arrested to cover up his incompetence. An impeachable offense for any other president. For Trump, probably just about the 17th worst thing he did that week.

“but they remember things” nope! llms do not remember anything. the chatbot has an app layer between you and it that stores “memories” aka database records, and injects them into the conversation in a way that is hidden from you not unlike a data broker + a phone scammer

50 years later, media companies - our bosses - are larger and more profitable than they've ever been, and we're poorer than we've ever been. The share of the money generated by our labor has declined, even as our rights over the product of that labor have expanded.

The "Party of Reagan" has the United States siding with Russian aggression against NATO allies and a brutal war on a European democratic US partner. Yes, the whole party. If they didn't, they would impeach and remove the president who is blatantly breaking US law to help fund Russia's war effort.

It's already illegal. Congress banned it near-unanimously in 2022. That law allows the ban to be lifted only if Russia withdraws from Ukraine. He's simply breaking the law that's already on the books.

Republican US Rep Brian Fitzgerald tweets that he will introduce a bill to block purchases of Russian oil. Don Bacon (R-Neb) tweets that he will co-sponsor. Obviously this won’t happen during campaigning recess (and Trump could veto anyway) but interesting push-back on Trump.

The natural predators of conservatives were journalists, but they introduced a virus called "both sides" that decimated the population and allowed them to spread unchecked and now we have kudzu conservativism.

Stealing money specifically appropriated for Slovakia and North Macedonia FEELS like a favor to Putin. Stealing money specifically appropriated for Iraq -- from which we've withdrawn a SECOND major base in the Middle East -- feels like a favor to Putin's allies in Iran.
