A world where a twist ending is repurposed as a video title. where a thing's climax has been removed, leaving an advertisment for the gap where it used to be. such things are commonplace in. the twilight zone

AI bros forgetting that we invented the alarm clock 240 years ago and you can get them for like 5 bucks Or just.... Free on the phone which he presumably has

I’m starting to think the people who are excited about “AI agents” have literally never used a computer in their lives

"you can't please everyone" is passive, an excuse, loaded with shame and regret. instead, be proactive in your work and aim to piss off at least 40% of its audience

There is ONE difference, and it's that now there is an entire industry built on monetizing zoomer/gen alpha memes at the first instance they appear We had shit like Badger Badger Badger, but there weren't 2000 shopify companies making bootleg merch about it within 24 hours

the 6-7 phenomenon is in no way different from any other catchphrase that kids have yelled out at any point in the last hundred years, there's no daylight between that and when i was in high school, the year straight where every guy kept yelling "i'm rick james bitch"

Forgoing sleep and staying up for 20 hours because I wanted a pizza and it didn't occur to me that I could sleep early and probably wake up before they close and just order one then What the hell is wrong with me. Why am I like this

I think one of the saddest things about being a millennial is remembering a time when technology was advancing in a way that made life better and easier and more exciting instead of actively, intentionally worse

I still don't understand why Linux's progress bars for file copies are "to a buffer you don't know exists" rather than "to the actual place you're copying to" In what circumstance would a user care about the progress to the buffer and not to the actual destination. Come on.

you can tell that OpenGL is a better religion than Christianity, because OpenGL has a SuperBible, while Christianity only has a normal bible

I'm not familiar with most of the things discussed in this video that people have been upset about but agree with her response. Thinking the world should be trauma-proofed so you don't have to encounter anything shocking leads only to censorship.

im gonna get yelled at extremely badly for this one but i am right.

Given the Online Safety Act, I spent this morning doing some ping testing, and it seems that using my servers will be completely acceptable even when gaming. I have one in Canada, and one in France - I can just switch connection if I'm connecting to US-based stuff and need the extra milliseconds.

Finally doing the first Shadowbringers dungeon after farming tomestones and god. This music. This lore. Absolutely PEAK. Also I dunno if I'm just having bad RNG or not but Holy SEEMS to be doing less damage than usual when it's against a Sin Eater. That's a nice detail if it's deliberate.

What's going on with AM5 motherboards? Like... where are the PCIe slots? These things are supposed to have more PCIe lanes than AM4 did, but I can find boards with two PCIe slots at most. When I do find a board that has 3 x16 slots, the fine print says that all but one of them run at x1 speeds.
