Most of civic tech projects our group has created grew out of a personal need for those tools. The fact that other people use them is great. The fact that other people sometimes promote them without our permission & seem to coopt them for their own purposes is not something we can control.

Come on D5! I voted for Nilu Jenks this afternoon. Now you go!

neighborsfornilu.bsky.social@neighborsfornilu.bsky.social

I'm Nilu Jenks, and I'm running because blue cities need to show they can govern. North Seattle has been left behind, and the people of D5 deserve as much attention, programming, and resources as the rest of the city. I’ll work hard everyday to change that, and I would be honored to earn your vote.

I used this as well when I filled out my ballot today. It was a big help for the judges, and a couple other people I didn't know...

Seattle Conservatives: Sara Nelson spending 65 thousand dollars on a news website that wants to turn hearts and minds with AI slop. I can read my own prompt output, tyvm. Seattle Progressives: Humans coming together to build @electioncheatsheet.org, an amazing guide to Seattle elections.

CivicTide wishes it could generate even 10% of the buzz electioncheatsheet.org is generating. Btw I used ECS to help me fill out my ballot and it is by far the best progressive Seattle and Washington voter guide out there.

I like the groups featured in the lefty cheat sheet and used it to help inform my votes. But if you don't, you should find your trusted orgs and listen to them instead... If we all voted the same way, we wouldn't really need to hold elections now would we 🤔

It’s pretty rare to see someone publicly admit in writing that they intentionally violated the “age-old” (1999) Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA). 😆 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticyb...

It's down. This was an age old internet tactic and I'm glad I finally got your attention. Care to address any of my questions?

I love the option to adjust how different endorsement sources are weighted in the latest Election Cheat Sheet. I was already pretty confident in my voting choices before ballots arrived today, but 100% agreement from the sources I care most about really sealed it.

Are you voting this weekend? Wondering how lefty organizers on the ground are thinking about this primary? ElectionCheatSheet.org has you covered no matter the level of detail! Switch from a quick voter guide, to deep research on each lefty orgs’ endorsement pages, in just a few taps!

We don’t want to take legal action to protect the brand Lefty Cheat Sheet but if someone wants to be our lawyer and write a letter to Eileen Pollet reach out on our contact page.

More explicitly a relative of Rep. Pollet, Eileen, who owns a consulting firm that a lot of Dems have used, bought leftycheatsheet dot com and is redirecting it to the FUSE guide as an attempt to confuse people trying to find leftycheatsheet.org

Is it a compliment if someone takes your volunteer project url and buys the dot com version and has it redirect to another website or is it tacky? 🤔

My ballot arrived today! I feel pretty informed about the major races in my district, but have no idea about the many many judges that are on the ballot this time. I feel confident about making my choices with the help of @electioncheatsheet.org

Got my ballot in the mail yesterday, voted using the @electioncheatsheet.org last night, and dropped my ballot off at the nearest drop box this morning. Voting should be this easy for everyone.

Lefty Cheat Sheet@electioncheatsheet.org

Ballots will be dropping in your mailboxes this week! We’ve completed incorporating and hand-checking the endorsements of all but a handful of our endorsing organizations, and we’ve improved our site for you.

This is great stuff

Lefty Cheat Sheet@electioncheatsheet.org

All WA state candidates are required to disclose assets + income sources. We use this to figure out if the candidate might be a landlord, and how many properties they own. Being/not being a landlord isn't the whole story, but having this info at a glance is unique to our leftycheatsheet.org tool.

We also show PDC campaign finance data as side-by-side bars for easy comparison. Unique to our leftycheatsheet.org tool is our disaggregation of donors by In-Seattle vs Rest of Washington vs Out-of-state. This helps you spot if someone who's supposed to rep Seattle is oddly funded by outside money.

Our Finances visualizations are mostly powered by data from our WA PDC (Public Disclosure Commission). We are lucky to live in a state with some of the best transparency requirements! The PDC site can be hard to use, so we focused on helping you to quickly see key differences between candidates.

The new finances tab is really cool and provides some transparency for folks that don’t want to get into the weeds of the PDC leftycheatsheet.org#e=20261103&r...
