I see Twitter/X is awash with people explaining that the protests in France are a result of immigration. Because it’s so, so utterly alien to French culture to take to the streets to protest, to riot, to rage. Maybe they should read some history or just watch some musicals before they post.

Astonishing to hear people say they'd rather asylum seekers drowned than be saved by the RNLI. Next comes letting people die in burning hostels rather than be saved by the fire brigade and letting people get kicked to death in the street rather than be saved by the Police. Don't platform this hate.

The absolute vitriol I have seen on this platform over the past few days about Jason Arday reminded me of X. I don't know what's true and what's not. I do know he was autistic and that means it is totally feasible that he ran with a broken leg. That's almost as stereotypical as ear defenders.

Now call me a cynic, but Cambridge have recently been given a ton of money for Autism research and SBC knows, from past experience, that the autistic community won't engage with him due to his deficit model. So now, all of a sudden, he's apparently neuroaffirmative....

So finally we know what “Brexit benefit” actually means.. A £5million payment to Farage. Our country is now deeply divided, poorer, unhappier, less influential, less secure, less welcoming and less democratic… But Farage is a multimillionaire. What a fucking disgrace.

This is currently my position exactly.

Dear Labour supporters. If you want to put me off voting Green rather than Labour, the key is *not* to attack the Greens, but to ask yourself why I, a life-long Labour supporter, who has voted Labour at every GE since 1983 (my first), can't support Labour. Look at yourselves. Look at your party.

What?!

I'm so happy. I thought I was going to have to tactically vote Tory in the Council election to keep out Reform, but they've change the wards in my area and now I am in a ward where all all the current councillors are Green!

Both me and my husband probably loosing our jobs then under a Reform government.

Services currently available to people in #Gaza fall far short of what is needed, largely due to the destruction of the health system and restrictions imposed by Israel. Now more than ever, Palestinians need more services, not less. Providing humanitarian assistance in Gaza is vital.

I do find it a bit weird that some people believe low level disruption can be eliminated completely because children and young people are human beings and I've seen plenty of what those people would call low level disruption in rooms full of teachers doing CPD. 🤷‍♀️

Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.
