Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Coyote Moon, by John Vornholt. This is more like it! All the melodrama, cheesy action scenes and exclamation marks exactly fit my expectations of a Buffy book #BookSky 📚🪐 www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

To clarify @transparentaction.bsky.social exists to support proud parents (and other family) of trans people, to take a stand and speak up. Given we’ve recently heard that family members influenced the gender affirming surgery pause for adults in Wales, our action is needed more now than ever.
The first speaker was Adam, who spoke about their experiences at trans prides this year. The second speaker is @transparentaction.bsky.social's @alicemydaughter.bsky.social, who talks about how one can get involved in action to support parents of trans kids.

In today’s ep we look at the 1997 BBC PDA, Illegal Alien, which began life as an unproduced television script for Doctor Who, Season 27. Before then, we rip through the month's news, some short topics and then end - as always - with great listener feedback from you! thedwshow.net/2026/10/25/i...
Thanks to @gossjam.bsky.social and everyone who presented at #TargetBookClub today, some hilarious and informative talks #DoctorWho
Overall I found this story a bit of a mess to be honest. Too much is left vague and unexplained, like how did the Doctor survive after appearing to be dead at the cliffhanger? Also as far as I can tell the story is resolved by an off-screen deus ex machina that doesn't even make a lot of sense
Watching Vengeance on Varos for the first time. I gather this has a reputation as the one story from Colin Baker's TV era that's actually decent #DoctorWho

OTD 1994 #DoctorWho St Anthony’s Fire Horror, twisted religion and anti-fascism often fit DW; less so here, I’m afraid, a lesser NA. Yet I have very fond memories – half-reading it, half-watching out for the correct bus stop on my way to a date with a lovely man I was getting to know called Richard…

I'm so fucking tired of this shit. Not a day goes by without trans eliminationism ramping up in the UK and globally. To those cheering this on all I have to say is this; fix your heart or die. www.thepinknews.com/2026/10/15/n...

These organisations that segregate trans people all keep citing the Supreme Court ruling, you know the one that was supposed to only have negligible impact. The government could put a stop to all this blatant discrimination by amending the Equality Act.
🆕🚨 NHS England guidance says: 🔴 Trans people must be placed on wards "in line with their biological sex" 🔴 Trans people can be segregated to private rooms to protect the "dignity" of other patients Full explainer out in our newsletter Sat 📨 wearequeeraf.com/subscribe Here's what we know now 🧵

When we've hunted down all the trans people (with dignity and sensitivity), who are we going after next (with dignity and sensitivity)? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
The Price of Paradise kind of gives me the vibe of '80s classic Doctor Who. The idea of a place that's so perfect one's mere presence there spoils it is an interesting poetic notion to explore, but I don't think it lands effectively here #DoctorWho 📚🪐 www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

There's a bit in the Jubilee novelisation about "the joy of a crowd realising they didn't have to be kind any longer. They didn't have to worry about having conscience or pity. They no longer had to care." That's exactly what I see all around me right now. It's really painful how relevant it is.

We should get one thing out of the way right now. Jubilee is incredible, still one of the best pieces of Doctor Who (not just audio Who) ever produced. It's dark and mature, confronting some very nasty truths about human nature, eschewing jingoism and, well, jubilation.
10 years ago the idea that wearing a t-shirt supporting trans people would really be considered controversial, let alone something to be censored by the BBC, would be kind of barmy. What the hell happened
The BBC has sparked a backlash after censoring a pro-trans message which appeared on a Strictly Come Dancing star’s T-shirt

the bbc regularly platforms transphobes to spout paranoid conspiracies, fearmongering lies, and medical disinformation about transgender ppl. but a t-shirt expressing support for us is ‘political’.

Stoner by John Williams is an existential work of American academic fiction that explores the value of an individual human life. Has anyone else read it? Let me know your thoughts #BookTube #BookTok #BookSky 📚🖋️ youtube.com/shorts/stpNe...
This week I'm discussing the existential themes of Stoner by John Williams and how the novel explores the value of an insignificant human life #BookSky #BookTube 📚🖋️ youtu.be/vKRinCljzyw?...
My favourite thing about this is that with the main show being off the air I think far more adult fans are going to be watching TARDIS Crew than would have been otherwise, and I just can't wait to see the reactions from the kinds of fans who take things way too seriously #DoctorWho

It's laughable the "mutilating kids" rhetoric is still going. If mainstream journalists were doing their job it would have been debunked long ago for the blatant nonsense that it is.
This weekend at a political rally for Republican Senator Jon Husted in Ohio, Donald Trump took to the stage to rail against Democrats and transgender people. He falsely claimed Democrats "mutilize" transgender kids to "make them transgender." Subscribe to support our journalism.
