Critical to note here that the core problem with her statements is not ignorance, it's Christian fundamentalism.
Her anti-intellectual and superstitious religious views reward ignorance and encourage religious bigotry. And then the Republican party just weaponizes them.
Team Trump if dealing with Adolf Hitler in 1939:
"Czechoslovakia and Poland could have avoided all of this if their failed leaders had just made a deal with you, a true humanitarian. We salute you, sir."
Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff to Vladimir Putin today: “You talk so much about Trump being a humanitarian, you are a humanitarian also, sir. And I salute that. I commend you.”
Watching - for some reason - 2015's Jekyll and Hyde, and appreciate that it was the outlandish violence that got it cancelled, but the villains are straight out of 101 Dalmatians.
Zelenskyy: "If President Trump really wants to have elections, tell Putin give us two months, 60 days of total ceasefire -- 60 days -- and we will organize elections. Of course, we will be ready for any choice of our people."
Chris Murphy: "Donald Trump was so fundamentally unprepared for this war that within days of the war starting, our billion dollar air bases and naval bases in the region were obliterated by the Iranians. Every single American should be furious about that."
An 8 page newsletter, that'll be really expensive to mail out to 15million households, right? So that would also mean that it would be really expensive to mail them back to Reform, right?
I'm assuming everyone knows the Reform freepost address?

GOP Sen. Mike Lee: “If anyone spoke to my wife, or my daughter…the way Mr Trump has spoken to women, I wouldn’t hire that person, wouldn’t want to be associated with that person, and I certainly don’t think I’d be comfortable hiring that person to be the leader of the free world”

So anyway, I got my diagnosis this morning (benign, thanks), and celebrated with Mrs F in a Dublin bar run by a friend that was running a soundtrack by a band called Viking Spirit, which for the uninitiated is Lordi with fiddles. The lyrical theme is "If it moves, stab it."
I mean, really? Fucking really? This shit's been coming down the tracks for at least half a decade, and they still took the the soup? Fuck 'em. www.theguardian.com/football/202...
I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings
I volunteered for Childline for a decade at uni and I know firsthand a snapshot of how many lives Esther Rantzen changed. Her later years were known for assisted dying but her legacy will be giving vulnerable children someone to listen to and care. www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...
When you die, please don't take your organs with you. They will be of NO use to you. Please sign the back of your driver's license and be an organ donor. This is the highest form of "charity" because the recipient can do nothing for you except be grateful for your selfless gift.
Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian foreign minister: "In 2015, we had a deal, we remained committed to that deal, it was the US that withdrew with zero justification"
When asked about the banning of certain media outlets, which courts have already ruled was unconstitutional the last time he tried it, Needy Amin just cries and whines about how unfair everyone is to him.
Judging by the surge in RNLI donations
I suspect attacking RNLI volunteer heroes
will simply accelerate the decline
of Reform UK in the polls ...

So painful to lose a parent at any age.
And Alzheimer's is such an unforgiving disease. Thoughts with the PM and his family as they make sense of it all and reflect on his Dad.
