Trump: "In Washington, all the restaurants were closing. People were being held up. They'd walk into a restaurant. Like Jesse James. 'Stand up! Give us all your money.' They're eating dinner at a fancy restaurant. All the restaurants were closing."

Sick of my indecision, I took a final look over the Old World armies, picked the one I most wanted to paint and bought it. High Elves it is! Now to Crack open my old Art of Warhammer Online book for additional inspiration.

I went to the shop. I bought nothing. My brain continues to land lock itself with choice paralysis. *sigh*

It's been an interesting year! Bigger miniatures, army painting, putting the Quickshade Dip back into the rotation, along with lots... and *lots* of chipping and weathering on different miniatures. As ever, see to yourselves first! But anything spare helps feed this stuff! ko-fi.com/sonicsledgeh...

Continuing a tradition since 2021, here's some of my favourites from the line-up for How I Paint Things this year. If by bizarre chance at Christmas you're short on ways to spend the cash in your pockets, don't mind me rattling the tip jar: ko-fi.com/sonicsledgeh...

The board was 24” x 24” with a large (climbable) piece of blocking terrain in the centre. Lots of barriers, and an area of difficult ground with cover. Will be using a different layout next time. Open Combat is at its best with lots of terrain on the tabletop.l

One of my biggest *putting on the They Live glasses* moments was realizing that these firms are not trying to impress us as consumers with these products and announcements, but instead are trying to convince investors that they are a growth stock

Here's Sir David Attenborough on why this huge, heart-shaped piece of the UK in Northumberland is so important. A chance like this to save massive space for nature won't come again. £11,000 donated yesterday, £1.37m still to go by the end of the month - the time is now! 💚 #conservation #ukwildlife

One final sprint to save a landscape - £28m secured, £2m to go! Donation matching until the end of the month - the Wildlife Trusts are so close to buying the largest chunk of the UK offered for sale in 30 yrs. Landscape-scale protection, to hold a 40-mile wide nature corridor together for wildlife.

What's that you say? A UK study aimed at proving that ADHD and autism are over-diagnosed actually found that we are still under-diagnosing both, and lack access to assessments remains a huge barrier to support? What a shocking and unexpected conclusion! www.politicsuk.com/p/fonagy-rev...

The risk here is that Radio Comedy - a distinct art in its own right with its own discipline and method - is relegated to another layer of television's development substrata.

Rune's nana passed away today. I'm struggling with my mental health andhad a major break at the weekend. We can't afford to pay all our bills, let alone food. It's bleak. But if everyone who followed me gave £1, we'd be set for the year. It's Rune's birthday next week too. Please help.

Goal for this month reset. Slightly better off this month as my wages are back to normal Between our combined illness and a few emergencies, the last month has been rough (and that's putting it mildly) 🧵 ko-fi.com/goblinbuns/g...

Turning to BlueSky to find a home for 9-month-old kitty, "Shoes", Baltimore/DC area. His rescuers would love to keep him but they and their toddler are all violently allergic; not even meds and air purifiers are helping. But they love Shoes and want him to find a good home. Deets: (1/5)

I am currently working on Karvenheim, a hack of Open Combat for Dwarfish urban combat.

Fun, much too overlooked minis game I discovered at UK Games Expo in ‘16 or ‘17 - OPEN COMBAT. The skirmishiest skirmish game I know - @chrispramas.bsky.social and I had about eight figs each. @gavthorpe.co.uk is partially to blame for this lively little game.
