@metoffice.gov.uk Awoke this morning to hear rain (natural weather status indication - window’s open, I hear the water gurgling from the guttering, car tyres slushing along) Opened the Met Office app - it also tells me it’s raining. No sh** Sherlock.

And it’s gone. So, now I have to find another app ‘cos someone at MetOffice has come up with whizz bang idea for a super dooper new (can’t call it revised/updated) app.

And for no apparent reason, the wx radar map returned. It has reappeared in the app. I have another, WiFi only, iPhone - same iOS release, same app version - the map was always available. I have screenshots! Fairies & banshees playing tricks?!

Next, I swipe down for the map/weather radar view - it’s gone, it’s not there?!?? Now, the map/weather radar is my most used feature - what’s the weather doing 30-40-50 miles away in the direction it’s approaching. That’s my weather forecast - am I likely to get wet while walking the dog(s).

I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.

Right, let’s get to it… (Having just replaced gas cooking appliances with electric in preparation for renewables/battery installation)

This should be the moment people finally realise that Farage has turned them into fascists. If you’re choosing this dangerous inhumanity over the rescue work of the RNLI, you’ve lost your minds to racism and hatred.

Think this gets at something quite important: 'If sustained evidence of changing public opinion can justify reopening a fundamental constitutional question in Northern Ireland, why shouldn’t [it] at least allow us to reconsider Britain’s relationship with the EU?'

I hope there are journalists , producers & news editors at BBC News who are ashamed that they aren’t breaking this story which affects our national security & democracy. I also hope that someone in our national broadcaster will break ranks & find the courage to tell us why .

Abbey Road DLR station has confused so many Beatles fans that TfL installed a sign directing them to the real Abbey Road at St John's Wood, North West London. So I thought it would be fun to bring the Beatles to East London instead, staging a tiny reunion cutout from a poster.
