None of the targets set under the so-called 'missions' established in 2024 have survived contact with 2 years of Starmer/Reeves, as far as I can tell.

I wonder if there's a case for government acting as buyer of last resort, promising to absorb any new homes the market can't to create stability of demand?

kind of crazy to me that my parents escaped vietnam during a war and arrived in north america, where they labored as a janitor and secretary so they could save enough money to send me to college, where i received a higher education, and now this is what i use my brain for

I was having conversations with journalists just a few months ago about whether democracy was doomed. Look at this year: Orban defeated. Vukic defeated. Bolsonaro Jr defeated. Trump heading to likely defeat in midterms. That’s the beauty of democracy. Voters can respond. Don’t count it out yet.

EXC: Reform's new "newspaper" features a councillor who said Muslims shouldn't hold public office and that all mosques should be shut. Councillor Phil Tierney also described himself as Islamophobic and signed a petition supporting Tommy Robinson www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

it would be a strange political twist if Burnham, who promised a more "pragmatic" approach to North Sea drilling, ended up rejecting Rosebank - given his predecessor Starmer wanted it to go ahead

For a Party that bemoans the loss of free speech, this is quite the flex. Maybe they should consider how well Trump’s case against the BBC is going?
