A man so desperate to use the bathroom at a Kroger supermarket in Texas intentionally crashed his 2006 Chevrolet HHR through the building’s front doors because the store was closed, the authorities said.

getting into mechanical keyboards purely on the basis of how disruptive i can be to the people around me. i want every keytap to sound like a gunshot. when i write a sentence it should sound like im emptying a semiautomatic

wikipedia shows what's possible when accessibility is prioritized over profit and the principles of free speech are buttressed by strict moderation. its very existence proves that the techbrocracy is both wrong and entirely unnecessary, so color me shocked that they're circling it like sharks.

when wikipedia launched, the idea that an encyclopedia could be reliably maintained by the public was a joke. now, it's a marvel, a remarkable resource, virtually the only website that remotely delivers on its potential and practically the last pleasant browsing experience on the internet.

I keep seeing videos of a guy who catches crabs and lobsters, cracks all the barnacles off them, puts a shrimp in their claws and throws them back. can you imagine. abducted by aliens but they just give you a spa day and hand you two hot dogs and let you go

i’m at the galleria dell’accademia in florence doing my favorite bit: every time we pass by a depiction of jesus i point and say “damn, that guy just can’t catch a break” everyone hates it

I could probably count the number of times I've thought about ed sheeran on one hand but getting called out for not condemning a genocide and then releasing a statement that says"I just didn't want anyone to be mad at me, everyone please stop being mad at me" really is a profound unforced error

"I have made the very difficult decision that I do not want to be in trouble, therefore I am going to continue not saying anything which might get me in trouble." ok great man. Now not only are you a coward but you're a little bitch too. How did you possibly think this was going to go.

I need you all to promise me that when this all happens, you never stop clowning them. Never ever. no matter how much they plead for understanding or try to pretend they were never into it, don't ever let them fucking forget

I know this is not going to fix anything, but how much media coverage and how much groundswell of excitement from the base do you think would happen if one of these dem candidates just said, once in their lives, what the fuck are you talking about you sound like a dumb asshole right now

When I was younger I did this thing where I would take someone who clearly didn't give a shit whether I lived or died, and convince myself "well if I can get THAT guy to like me then surely I can get EVERYONE to like me" and honestly I think it gives me a real insight into why the Dems are like that

sorry, but torturing the omelas kid is just a smart move, polling-wise. i personally wish there wasn't a kid in the omelas hole--of course i do!--but let's not get distracted by purity tests, here.

9/11 has got to be the number 1 single most successful attack in all of human history. totally destroyed the psyche of the worlds most powerful empire and 2 decades later it throws away its own hegemony desperately clawing to regain the confidence it lost

production of The Muppet Show should not be dependent on petty vulgarities like “ratings” or “revenue.” it should be preserved as a vital function of american culture. it should have a taxpayer-funded budget rivaling the CIA

I know it's where we're at in 2026 and we all know it, but it bears stating the obvious that every major company in the world is openly throwing a tantrum that people expect them to provide goods and services instead of just sending them a payment of $200 every month for nothing

I don't want to be nostalgic anymore. I'm tired of being catered to. I don't want to forever hear the same artistic voices I heard in my youth, now amplified, slowed and reverbed for dramatic effect. I want new worlds. I want new stories. I want new voices. Please!

I also think a lot of the people who get on board with AI doomerism are themselves addicted to the technology and reason that if someone as smart as them can fall prey to it, then the world at large is doomed, when the reality is that they refuse to criticize their own profound spiritual weakness.

The Zenith "Space Commander" was the 1st TV remote control and used no batteries. Each button cocked and fired a hammer into 1 of 4 calibrated metal rods of different lengths which generated an ultrasonic tone like a tuning fork. The TV had a microphone to listen for it.
