Basically the whole criminal LAPD right now.
"We'll illegally tell you it's illegal to protest. And if you show up to exercise your right protest we'll illegally tell you it's illegal to protect yourself from the violence we illegally initiate. Only *we* are allowed to violate the law. We don't care. We don't have to. We're the police."

We join with @slindivisible.bsky.social in mourning the death of Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a peaceful protester who was shot last night at the march in Salt Lake City. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this tragedy.

Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop! Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels

This is serious, rigorous analysis and it should change the way the media has been covering these protests. These were, in the aggregate, *massive.*

Police consistently escalate while the reporter employs multiple de-escalation techniques, including the "hey dude, you're being filmed, might wanna rethink this." Classic "man has the shield of his position to justify weaponizing his emotional dysregulation to risk public safety."
Whoa! Hats off to ABC News reporter Matt Gutman for keeping his cool yesterday. This LAPD officer needs to be relieved of duty if he can’t handle an alleged “touch” without snapping.

Little Rock's #NoKings march and rally has wrapped up. A few thousand demonstrators lined up before 10 a.m. to walk across the Broadway Bridget to North Little and back for a rally in a riverside park behind the Old State House. One of 15 planned in Arkansas today. @ainsleyplatt.bsky.social

I'm seeing other groups reporting much lower numbers based on RSVPs to the events. Our event had 2.5-3x the attendance we expected. I don't believe we are an outlier by any means. Have organizers found a more accurate way to report attendance after? Bc media are doing their thing and underreporting.
From coast to coast, city streets to small town squares, you showed up. And it mattered. Honored to announce: 12.1 million in attendance.

This is how LAPD treats our elders. Never forget.
Arturo Obrego, a 77-year-old army veteran who hitchiked from Huntington Beach is going viral for getting hit with wooden baton by officers on horses and knocked down during today’s peaceful “No Kings” protest in DTLA. @TheGlutster ran into him at Union Station a couple of hours after the incident.
