The Reconstruction Papers provides an ambitious but achievable path forward beyond the Trump era, but also beyond the decades of institutional decay that preceded it. Buy a print copy or download the PDF (or both) today www.liberalcurrents.com/the-reconstr...

So I don't want to oversell this but our 2024 EV percentage after day 2 was R+2.5. Right now it's D+17.7 So a 20 point swing in the largest suburban county in the country that had resisted some previous blue waves.

The Student List had no party machinery. It operated through university assemblies, protests and hiking between cities & towns. They had 2% of national TV political advertising airtime vs 93% for Vučić. This is one of the most remarkable grassroots democratic victories in modern European history.

You are lying to my face if you claim the attention and outrage over Trump's support of Israel in 2026 is at the same level and intensity that was directed toward Holocaust Harris in 2024. bsky.app/profile/meid...

JUST IN: Trump reposts his endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu, urging Israelis to vote for Netanyahu so the war against Iran can continue. “We have to finish the job that we started!”

Lula has been reelected president, Brazilian media has now called. An extraordinary comeback for the left-wing politician who trailed by 2 points in round 1 but managed to hold off Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president's son.

understand its a campaign but sigh

Just been such a revolution in my worldview to realise that people like Musk actually believe this, this isn't just the nonsense they feed the rubes so they can do coldly rational mercantile calculations in smokey rooms among themselves. No. It's rubes all the way down, they're that stupid.

I hope Democrats are ready to blow up the system with campaign finance and transparency reforms. Trust is already at an all-time low. We don't get out of this mess without rebuilding trust.

As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment"

hey guys launching my new polling firm, got my first results: HPR Polling: WY-AL: Chuck Gray: 50% Lisa Kinney: 50% VT-AL: Becca Balint: 50% Gerald Malloy: 50% It will be 12000$ per poll thank you

Sabotaging American foreign policy in order to help win an election is one area where Trump genuinely isn't an aberration. Nixon sabotaged peace talks with Vietnam and Reagan backchanneled to prevent Carter from getting the hostages in Tehran released. A long-standing Republican tradition of treason

This is the strongest statement I have seen from any political candidate about Donald Trump’s antisemitism. And yet they label Angie Nixon the antisemite, for rightfully labeling Israel’s actions in Gaza as a genocide.

After President Trump used an antisemitic slur during a campaign rally in Kansas last night, U.S. Senate candidate State Rep. Angie Nixon released the following statement. #AngieForFlorida

I wish Biden had been a war hawk who shipped thousands of Bradleys to Ukraine. I wish our entire stockpile of 155mm rounds were used on Russian soldiers. There isn’t a single escalatory act NATO members could commit against Russia that I wouldn’t support.

One of my core beliefs about contemporary politics is that you can't understand it without being willing to descend to the plane of the psychosexual It's not great tbh!

A penitent who is loud @loudpenitent.bsky.social

It feels like there's this very strong reluctance among many theorists and Hot Take Havers in politics to admit that historically a HUGE part of politics is not about big brain abstract theory but about ways to control and gain access to who people get to fuck and who gets to "spread their seed."
