So it looks like my goal of watching 300 movies this year is going to fall a little short, since there's just 3 days left and I'm at 288 movies, which I think is still pretty good. One lesson I've learned from this, is there are A LOT of movies out there.

Like the ones that get released to your neighborhood Regal or AMC is just a tiny sliver of the movies the movies that come out in a given year. Even though I probably watch more movies than the average person, the number I haven't seen is staggering.

It also seems like people are surprised, and maybe a little offended, if I haven't seen a movie that was one of their favorites. The most recent example of this was a coworker was surprised I'd never seen "Rock a Doodle."

Today one of my younger coworkers mentioned that she didn't think she had ever really sat down and watched a movie before, and I really didn't know what to say to that.
