Just, thank heavens for @naomikritzer.bsky.social. What would we do without her?? Even in the (admittedly rare) cases where we might differ ideologically, she's so transparent about how she makes recs that it's easy to make your own evaluations. She's asking for donations here to thank her.

please help a future teacher stay in school if you can! because of the trump administration lowering the amount of federal student loans students can receive, her FAFSA didn't cover her full tuition www.gofundme.com/f/help-a-fut...

On Saturday morning, I used an Evie to drive myself and a friend to a coffee shop date with another friend. We were going for a walk and weren’t returning to the original location, so we were able to leave the Evie downtown. #saveHOURCAR

I was planning to take an Evie to my doctors appointment in a couple weeks (it’s in Edina and is an hour bike ride and similar bus trip length- which is too long). Uber/lyft is expensive and I don’t want that to be the norm #saveHOURCAR

I used an Hourcar pick up on Friday to get 10 bags of straw. There is no reason I need to own a pickup truck. Being able to borrow one for 30 mins 3 times a year is incredible. #saveHOURCAR

This is an absolute travesty. The leadership of Minneapolis and Saint Paul and the Met Council should be SCREAMING! Services like Hourcar and Evie are ESSENTIAL to their vision for our region.

Breaks my heart for Minneapolis that this politically expedient & baseless message is being made by some leaders. Officers showed up under a minute. No evidence that drones would have prevented this What would have reduced harm & led to prevention & is evidence backed is COMPREHENSIVE GUN CONTROL.

Wedge LIVE!™@wedge.live

Move over, police horses. Every big crime from now on is an opportunity for the mayor to complain about a lack of 911 drones.

RIP Karen Clark. 🕊️❤️ We lost a giant. She was the first openly lesbian member to serve in the MN Legislature, spent decades fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights, environmental justice, & BIPOC neighbors. She spent her last decade fighting for the East Phillips Urban Farm that we will get done in her honor.

We didn’t qualify for SNAP, but we were pretty broke. Rotisserie chicken with a side salad was a staple in my house growing up (raised by a single parent). It was also one of the best meals we got. Shame on you @repangiecraig.bsky.social

Peggy Flanagan@peggyflanagan.bsky.social

I think letting SNAP recipients have hot rotisserie chicken is good, actually.

Minneapolis WE KEEP IS SAFE t-shirts/stickers site is NOW LIVE: we-save-us.cheddarup.com The shirts honor everyone who resisted ICE; all $ after shipping/making costs go to Lucy Laney school mutual aid in N Mpls. Buy as much as you want; you have to add shirts to cart 1 at a time (sorry). Please RT!

The bulk of the national discourse is focused on preventing white people from getting caught in the crosshairs of ICE’s violence. And the reason that feels so crazymaking in Minnesota is because we were organizing before Renee Good’s murder to protect people of color targeted by ICE.

Leah reposted

This is CRITICAL. I know you’re all putting your back into mutual aid & a thousand other great things, but if there’s anything left here, so many folks depend on these front-line lawyers right now.

Holding the incredible tension of this time - Jason's inauguration for his current city council term was yesterday. AND his beloved uncle was kidnapped yesterday. Let's help bring him home.

Jason Chavez@jchavezmpls.bsky.social

One of my uncles was kidnapped by ICE yesterday. He was always there for my family and even helped my family afford my graduation party when I graduated college. 💔 Anything helps. ICE has no humanity. Hard workers literally being torn from their families. gofund.me/d84e22b46

This camp is being violently evicted right now in the wake of a devastating shooting. People are mourning community members and simultaneously having their homes bulldozed. If you have t shirts, drinks, aspirin, new underwear, or cigarettes please bring to 1100 E Lake between 3-7 for distro!

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey@mayorjacobfrey.bsky.social

The Minneapolis Police Department’s only role was assisting with crowd control and keeping the community safe as a large number of residents and bystanders had gathered at the scene. They have not been involved in anything related to immigration enforcement.
