An inquest heard that police and coroners dismissed injuries to a young woman's body that an independent pathologist said would have prompted him to do a forensic sexual assault test. #mmiwg And that's just one of the disturbing points from this case. Full story here: thetyee.ca/News/2026/07...

I have checked this out and it’s legit. Amy’s family could really use your help; male DNA found on Amy's clothing is waiting on forensic technology to catch up. Each test costs $7,000 and all funds go directly to the Amy Fund. #Dateline www.gofundme.com/f/justice-fo...

The unexpected upside of being laid off is that I finally started the project I've been wanting to do for years - a Substack called Whispers of Evidence. I'll be sharing interesting cases where the forensic story doesn't quite seem finished. Take a peek: whispersofevidence.substack.com

A coyote knocked over my hive this morning. The bees were traumatized and so was the coyote, apparently. He tore out of the yard like his tail was on fire. Managed to put everything back together and hoping the ladies bounce back!

Just got let go from my corporate job of almost 9 years. Anyone looking for a beekeeping graphic designer who rescues animals, loves books, is way into Dateline, and sings like a Disney princess? hmu 🤙

UPDATE: Charlie did great, and he still likes me! 😂 Sorry about your berries, buddy.

Charlie is getting tutored at the vet tomorrow! A bit nervous to get him in a cage for transport. Wish me luck 😬

The first two batches of stickers I made of these sold out and it makes me happy to know this lil dude is slowly traveling all over. If you wanna add some snail stickers to your gifts before the holidays lemme know and I’ll get em out before Christmas bb

I can’t usually make art unless I convince myself I’m just doodling at first. That way I’m less afraid to make bold choices or fuck up, I guess? I get too in my head, I think. Anyway, here’s a snail I doodled to test out new materials someone gave me :)

Ok so I just got Charlie in the trap and he is pissed. After getting my hand torn up trying to get him down out of a high kitchen window as he was frantically looking for a way out, it was time. At 2:30am. Hoping he sleeps a few hours so I can too 😴

I feel so guilty when I have to keep the semi-ferals in a trap for a few hours before getting them to the vet. Doing the right thing but I feel horrible that they have to go through the stress :(
