Pretty grim footnote to West's career that he ended up serving the richest man in the world's successful attempt to restore white nationalism to the US government.
NEW: The group behind Cornel West's 2024 ballot push was wholly funded through Elon Musk's dark money network, according to Sludge's review of tax documents. readsludge.com/2026/10/26/m...

Correct. The #Browns have largely won in spite of him. While he’s engineered four game winning drives, Browns needed those drives because of his general inability to effectively run the offense for the rest of the game.
The fawning over Deshaun Watson is gross on a lot of levels. But it wouldn't be happening at all if his pre-2026 baseline hadn't been Worst Player in Football. The bar was not hard to clear with a functional offense.
Blake Griffin's new career move is trying to be the John Oliver of sports. Not sure how it'll play out, but it's an interesting idea.

I’ll gladly accept whatever guff comes my way for this, but I’m hoping the Democratic nominee in 2028 is, political questions aside, young and aspirational. If you’re younger than, say, 30, you might not remember how magical election night 2008 felt. Civic pride doesn’t begin to describe it.

GPS. Not only can you get accurate directions to any street address in the country, it will automatically route you around traffic jams and crashes. Compare that to a street map you bought at Waldenbooks with a publishing date 4 years prior to your trip.
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

People were uncomfortable sharing drinking fountains with black people. Their need for comfort doesn't supercede others' need for liberty.
That's great. What about the women that would be uncomfortable sharing a restroom with a trans woman? Because that's still most of the -extremely progressive- women I know. (I don't know any MAGA women)

Columbus Dispatch: The conduct of Vivek Ramaswamy in attacking his rival has been reckless, shameful and morally depraved. Therefore we are pulling our support for Ramaswamy and endorsing his rival, Amy Acton, instead. www.dispatch.com/story/opinio...

The New York Times wrote articles that were like "the impossible-to-characterize elusive politics of Elon Musk / he's lost interest in politics" right before he became *literally the largest GOP donor in history* the next election cycle. Twice. Two times!
This would be the most any person has donated in any election cycle. And #2 is also Musk, in 2024.

It's incredible how so many people just simply don't believe anyone is capable of indepedent political action. Weirdly Eastern European Governments don't need the State Department or MI% whispering in their ear to be suspicious of the Russians, and want some allies!

Sabotaging American foreign policy in order to help win an election is one area where Trump genuinely isn't an aberration. Nixon sabotaged peace talks with Vietnam and Reagan backchanneled to prevent Carter from getting the hostages in Tehran released. A long-standing Republican tradition of treason

The generation that got to buy cheap houses thanks to a postwar construction boom, then blocked new housing construction to juice their asset values is now whining that they have to pay taxes on their unearned wealth. Just breathtaking selfishness.

The utter nerve of baby boomers to call anyone else greedy
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.
