On a daily basis, I marvel at how many people in putative positions of power are willing to help obliterate American democracy. The US has faced a series of very easy moral tests in the past decade and it’s staggering how often people in once-respected positions have failed.

Why did Trump repeat Russian propaganda and lie about this? Why would he claim that a Ukrainian army in Kursk could only be saved from annihilation if Putin benevolently agreed to Trump’s request not to do so? Why is the US President deceiving Americans with Russian lies?

Who could possibly benefit from the Unites States being currently sabotaged by two insane buffoons?

There were certainly signs

I’ve seen great leaders up close and terrible leaders up close. I’d follow Zelensky into fire, and I wouldn’t piss on fire to put Trump out. This isn’t the America I fought and killed for, nor what my friends died for. Absolute cowardice from the President in front of the world.

Elon Musk gutting programs that help the disabled, the very sick and the elderly is part of Eugenics. Musk believes in idea of eliminating the people from society he views as "weaker" so that only the "strong" survive. This is known as "Scientific racism" and it's intertwined with white supremacy

Today is a really good day to do something. Read the Constitution. Have a talk with a stranger about DOGE. Volunteer at a food bank. Be kind to people. Whatever you do, don’t just throw your hands up in the air & assume Trump gets away with it all. We are still a rule of law country. Insist on it.

I have long believed that not enough has been written about how GOP members have felt physically intimidated by Trump supporters. It doesn’t excuse their cowardice, but it still deserves more attention.
