This is such a fantastic photo: "The Witches' Tea Party" but I want to use it to explain the origin of the tall, pointy witches hat. The real story of this photo: These are residents at the Hospital of the Holy & Undivided Trinity: an almshouse in Castle Rising, Norfolk, England established 1610.

Looking for game devs who have been directly inspired by anything BioWare for my next video. I suspect the public likely doesnโ€™t quite realize the extent of their influence on the industry, so Iโ€™d really like to highlight that. If you are one such game devs, pls reply to this post!

I've always been a bit unsure about remakes of some of my childhood favourite films but so far the newer adaptation of Roald Dahl's The Witches seems pretty neat. I'm liking this setting being in the deep south.

Forced myself to have a lazy day today and I kinda wanna cry coz it's the first time in years (and without drugs or alcohol to aid me) I've been able to let my body and mind switch off without having some internal conflict about it.

"I am not responsible for the version of myself that someone else created in their mind" is the most powerful life lesson I've ever learned.

I don't want to hear any whining about fixing certs from the information security types today. you chose to join the techno-priest caste, now shut up and perform the rites of exorcism

Anime artists still on socials drawing the sad American Umamusume that canโ€™t see her friends because of the administrationโ€™s asinine visa rules are doing more to move the political needle D than most democrats have.

I would love to read more but my brain is just a pile of shit and I do find it very very hard. Anyway this year I read: Shakespeare by Bill Bryson The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin Bluebird Bluebird by Attica Locke All A+ books imo

Absolutely does my head in that Asda still doesn't have changing rooms so I can't try on any of the really fucking nice clothes they've got in at the moment. I used to exclusively shop at Asda for clothes but had to ditch them thanks to this policy.

I was making a website about digital pets! Itโ€™s probably still out there somewhere with zero clicks, like one of those abandoned London underground stations

I also wanted to find some Tenchi Muyo and Escaflowne pictures and this is how I discovered MSN Groups because I found some huge anime group that had every picture I could ever want! It was so exciting being able to find so much art and stills from my fav shows!

It's kind of insane that it's 2026 and it's now way harder to find all that kind of artwork. Old "shrines" are long gone and Google makes it hard to search for dedicated fan pages. You're lucky if you find someone on social media who posts stuff I guess? Idk.

When I was 11 or 12 I was in my local LAN centre and no one was in to play games with so I decided to surf the web (I think it was MSN search?) to find artwork of FFX that I could print off and glue onto my school workbooks.

Just a tiny tiny tiny group of mates all getting each other on their TV shows to tell each other the pig people have had it too good for too long.

Interviewing a govt minister Hazarika shows a graph comparing young people claiming PIP to the size of our armed forces & declares it "tells a story about modern Britain" I can't even make a sarcastic comment about our fearless fourth estate, because Hazarika is a Labour politician
