Today's walk yielded some indeterminate little brown mushrooms that didn't photograph well, so I decided to include a photo from my fungi course: the high table of mushrooms! #fungi #fungus #mushroom

If exercise helps your medical conditions, I am truly happy for you, but holy crap, you really shouldn’t be insisting everyone do whatever routine you do. For a ton of reasons, really, largely revolving around “every body is different”, with occasional stops by “you’re making them feel awful”ville.

I created this photo using recent research so it relaxes your brain when you pause to look at the details. As I'm sometimes too unwell to post here (not good mental health due to PMDD & recovering from a breakdownA) it would help so much if you could maybe RT my photo. Many thanks 🌿

Day 2 of Fungus everyday - Amanita muscaria of division Basidiomycota, classic Mario Super Mushroom! Toxic, poisonous, but very beautiful and cute. #fungus #fungi #AmanitaMuscaria

Just a jarring reminder of how fleeting life is. I woke up this morning to seeing he liked my comment on IG about how I'd be spending some time this week at the Spring St. Station just to listen to his voices. And I will do so with a broken heart.

I'm taking a fungus identification course at KPU and decided to find and post a fungus every day as part of my daily walks. Today is Day 1, possibly Pseudohydnum gelatinosum, aka cat's tongue fungus aka toothed jelly fungus from the spikes on the underside (3rd photo). will also post on inaturalist

I highly recommend buying men sewing machines. My husband taught himself to use ours during the early days of the pandemic, and now he makes cool custom clothes for our kids.

Man the lists for “suggested gift for male friends” is so bereft, it’s all wallet or headphones or booze. I pride myself on being a good gift giver and I will not be defeated.

It takes many restorative months to heal from heartbreak and burnout. But I feel I am getting better. Photos that tell my story over the last two months.

i firmly believe in rewarding yourself with small, tangible treats (a nice spice mix! a good smelling tea! a comfy throw blanket!) for any achievements including continuing to be alive for another day

Small finds from the wood in late October, with my illustrations next to them, from my book The Wild Remedy, about how contact with nature alters our brain chemistry to improve mental health🍒🌿

First time sleeping over 8 hours at night in over a year! I congratulate myself!! It has taken a lot of changes, bed update, clothing update, and losing weight for me to sleep over 8 hours a night!

Facebook has devolved into just pure ads and not even FB purity add-on can get rid of it all. I only have it to keep in touch with Toronto friends, but not just deleted it from my phone cause it was just shovelling ads in my face what a garbage app

This owl was getting banded and tagged by the Rocky Point Bird Observatory. For the owl’s safety, he/she was wrapped up. These photos…🤣🦉. So cute.

I've taught a lot of fun courses over the years (fun for me to teach, not necessarily fun for the students although I hope sometimes they were) but the course starting tomorrow, Digital Tolkien, is the one I'm most excited about ever!

Watching Mandalorian. How feasible is it to build a prototype anti-grav baby carriage that can move itself?
