I hate this so much. The first draft is the MOST IMPORTANT DRAFT. Learning how to structure an argument and think it through and find holes in your own thinking is a large part of how critical thinking develops.

One of the most annoying aspects of the modern-day internet is the regularity with which a "scandal" forces us to suddenly be aware of some weirdo asshole niche "celebrity" and their millions of rabid idiot fans. It's like accidentally finding a wasp's nest as you're cleaning out a dirty old garage.

Beyond a new rape allegation, the @democrats-judiciary.house.gov report implicates current Attorney General Todd Blanche, stating he "may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice while acting on a mission to protect Trump," referring to an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. Seems like news!

I don’t think this is exactly what’s going on, or all that’s going on. It’s not that Republicans are constructing an elaborate psychological defense against evidence that Trump is a rapist. It’s that they like that he’s a rapist, and they like rape: it enacts the power of the strong over the weak.

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

Regular reminder that when you go to things while sick, you are giving those germs to people with autoimmune disorders, you’re passing them to someone’s newborn, to someone’s elderly parents. It’s “just a cold” to you but it can and does severely impact countless people.

It really sucks to see that these dumb asshole AI stans now use AI all the fucking time for all this dumb shit that a couple of years ago they did just fine on their own, even though AI isn’t faster, more accurate, or even all that helpful, it’s just that they’re now lazier and much more stupid.
