1ST WITCH The ice cream pint he loves the most. 2ND WITCH An eye that saw a boomer's post. 3RD WITCH An itching weed. 2ND WITCH A hornet's sting. 1ST WITCH An inchworm longer than his thing. ALL WITCHES In equal parts, we mix alike, To make this brew to poison Mike.

So they gutted the wendys near my house and basically rebuilt the entire thing to be one of those big empty severe modern fast food places. So im not sure its accurate to say I fucked at this wendys. I fucked at what this wendys was, sure. But i didnt fuck where it became. Its a tough one

One great thing Rundgren did for this record is to promote Colin Moulding, making him a true counterpart to Partridge in a way he never was again. Their songs parallel and talk to each other: Season Cycle and Sacrificial Bonfire, Summer's Cauldron and Grass

Happy 40th to this all-timer, pictured in formats old and new. The Atmos version is wonderful, and I like the running order with both “Mermaid Smiled” and “Dear God.”

Remember those videos five or ten years ago, showing people overcome by emotion when they put on special glasses and saw color for the first time, and their families were always there, crying with them? What would be great is if that could happen with feeling shame.

POSH SNOB, HOW DARE YOU CALL ME NINE FINGERS

Like most people who love cheesecake factory, I would love it less if it weren’t ugly as shit

To the stranger who accosted me while I strollered my 2yo down the street listening to music, to tell me to put down my phone and pay more attention because they grow up so fast: what have you done. I am ignoring him even harder now. I am POSTING

Hey everybody checked in with my daughter, an IT security professional, don’t worry, we’re cool

Wall is sealed and insulated and drywall is up. You will notice the dumb mistake I made but all in all it’s not too bad. Window will have painted wood trim eventually

Huge thanks to @epochliterary.com & to editor (and freaking amazing writer) @jrobertlennon.com for giving it such an awesome home.

super SUPER excited & proud that my story “Commission Piece” made the Other Distinguished Stories of 2025 in this year’s BEST AMERICAN SHORT STORIES.

Hey, it’s Best American day! This is my sixth volume as series editor of Best American Mystery and Suspense, and I had the honor of working with my revered friend @meganabbott.bsky.social to select these 20 exceptional stories.

Window day at last! Contractor RJ ripped out the bottom ply to find…mice!!! Thank god, if we hadn’t discovered them they would have risen to meet the squirrels and bred squice. Tomorrow, gotta go do my actual job, but by friday I hope to have insulated and sealed this up, and begun hanging drywall

The newest Strong Songs episode, on Steely Dan’s “Peg,” is now live in the main feed. 🎶 This is a fascinating song, and it was very rewarding to get in there and see what makes it work. If you dig the ep, share it with a friend!

Fuck this, and every other university that does it. Our institutions have forgotten what they are for, and who and what has made them great

2026 #109 @jrobertlennon.com has been producing his measured and distinctive line in fiction for nearly three decades but with this recent novel he has swerved sharply to a faster spy/chase/family drama and has done so to great effect...and there's a sequel! See alt text for an outline ⭐⭐⭐⭐ #booksky

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Spinning viral country smash “My Arkansass” by tiktok phenomenon Betsey Quantico

I actually got a short ttrpg like this where you play people so desperate for affordable rent they check out murder houses. Use places like Zillow to find a house to use as game map, cycling through the photos to navigate. Got some free copies left on here too. hulkhoquinn.itch.io/housing-crisis

I got windows error playing cards

when you haven't played a record in like a year, & then when you hear it again, it's just "goddam, I love this album so much, it's better than I remember." music doesn't let you down, when so much does

Writers! We're now finished with our first round reads for volume 74, issue 1. If you snail-mail us something now, we won't read it until February. And anything left over from earlier this year will either be rejected or moved onto Submittable next week. Thank you for your work and your patience!

So grateful that elon understands what I want, which is drunk teens in the sky over my head

Incredible that this knucklehead doesn't understand what a translation is, let alone its purpose

…….and!?!!?!??!?

Happy birthday 🎂❤️🫂

My finest ever work. I wrote it on a treadmill in a gym, recording each title, as I thought of them, into the notes app.
