If executive branch creates a system so that people under government control can be located and then just stops listing some people in that system — despite their still being under government control — that should be a five-alarm fire for the other branches, the states, and the public.

In Massachusetts, we have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable and stand up for those who need it. We don’t throw trans kids under the bus for political points. We protect them—and all of our neighbors—because trans rights are human rights.

Black Americans have been the moral center of this country from it's inception, and whatever little bit I've picked up about justice, equality, or civil rights is ultimately due to them. We should be more grateful. Not sure how to say that without being awkward, but it's the truth.
