What if movement didn't have to be big to matter? Unbound is a film woven from 20 bodies, 20 stories, and 1 thread of connection. Join us for the premiere on July 29th at 6:30 PM ET. www.eventbrite.com/e/unbound-gl... A reflection on my process for this film on my blog: liapas.com/2026/07/11/u...

Environment and Climate Change Canada using tax dollars to promote fossil fuel expansion, such as that depicted in this sponsored ad, is full throttle sociopathic. It's like Health Canada choosing to actively promote putting rat poison in your lunch.

I’m listening to the latest @podsavetheuk.crooked.com & Susan Stryker is brilliant. 🤯 to hear the pieces I knew mattered but couldn’t connect… click. “…the idea of a kind of body that is fixed into a social economic position based on physical characteristics, heritable physical characteristics.”

Ok but can I show you this 17th century Dutch memorial medallion and funeral spoon (everyone will receive one at my eventual funeral, don't you worry) I spotted yesterday at Bath's Holburne Museum...

I found this to be one of the more unique scenes I captured on my last Iceland trip - a narrow waterfall emerging from an impossibly blue pool, surrounded by dark volcanic rock and bright green moss. #timothykeeneyphotography #photography #landscapephotography

Me, a person with both ME/CFS (which causes PEM) and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) being confused about the acronym PCS for Post-Covid Syndrome. 😵‍💫 Also, these researchers obviously don’t understand PEM. It’s not fear, it’s pacing because of central fatigue! l

I wish people would not just invoke PEM, but show us that they understand it… #LongCovid #ME

Central Fatigue is a term I learned from a video on PSC (the cholangitis thing). It’s been a useful term for me to explain to doctors that I don’t have musculoskeletal fatigue, but neuroimmune fatigue!

Artist Accra Shepp developed an innovative technique to print photographs on dried leaves, and this summer, we brought Shepp to meet with a group of art professionals to discuss his work directly. Called a "Conservation Study Day," this unique gathering matters, learn more: gty.art/4BugeY9

(1/2) The smartphone is a great application of technology resembling science-fiction that I grew up watching. Although there are concerns of unhealthy use in the population, and people may think a smartphone in the hands of those bedbound with #MECFS is a curse of obsession and disability, but ...

I got myself a men’s bunnyhug/hoodie for my hospital clothes (because the women’s hoodies at Costco were either all synthetic or cropped) and the pockets are big enough to fit my iPad! It’s a little ridiculous just how much bigger men’s pockets are

Book 103: Something of a Calling by Zoje Stage. Loved the story, but the writing was either too terse or I was spoiled by the last book I read! The way the ecological aspects were combined with horror was definitely my favourite thing about the book.

I keep asking myself: “How did we get so mind numbingly stupid enough to elect people who would be fascists?” And it all comes back to education. We started teaching to the test, stopped teaching civics, stopped valuing the arts and independent thought. We started teaching people to be profitable.

I’m excited to share that Unbound—the dance film I'm in featuring people with #MECFS—will be presented at the inaugural World Deaf & Disabled Dance Film Festival, November 6-7, in San Francisco. Come see Unbound on the big screen if you're there! ybca.org/event/2026-w...

This is why the pharmacist was so pleased when we—two people under 65–went in for our flu and covid vaccines. I’ve heard the flu is especially nasty this year, so go get vaccinated if you’re able to!

I know I'm posting a flood of Canadian political stuff this morning, but what the ever-loving hell is this godforsaken bullshit? #CdnPoli #CanPoli

Here's what **Environment and Climate Change Canada** is posting as ads.

Book 102: Fayne by Ann-Marie MacDonald. One of my favourite reads this year! I was absolutely riveted for the entire very long book, and the plot twist about halfway through blew my mind. I saw some people complaining about the ending but I love a bit of magical realism in my Gothic fiction.

Are today’s symptoms from the barometric pressure, the wind, the two vaccines I got on Thursday, the two major medical appointments I had this week, waking up too early from being stressed, or all of the above?

I've been blessed by amazing narrators. Zura Johnson crushed The Dragon Has Some Complaints. Just like I want to write my books, and I want artists to do the covers, I want narrators doing the narration. Keep humans in the humanities.
