Brazil votes on Sunday in an election that will help shape the future of the world: fascism or social progress. I’ve joined 40 MPs and 10 union general secretaries warning against Trump’s interference in Brazil - which is a blatant attempt to stop Lula winning. Read our statement below.

There have now been major voter suppression occurrences registered in 12 out of 27 states in Brazil. Major liberal Brazilian news channel ICL reports São Paulo mayor Ricardo Nunes, who supports Flávio Bolsonaro, said earlier he couldn’t “justify the costs” of running a full fleet in the city today.

Much more like pay to win in a game. If you are good at it you might still compete but those able to pay will always have an advantage.

Sorry but it's not a lottery: if it were the link between how hard things are for kids and where they live would be random. But it's not. True, there are some poorer places where things aren't too bad. But overall there's a significant correlation between living in a poorer area and poor provision.

NHS bosses say smaller maternity units may have to close. It would force pregnant mothers to travel long distances to give birth. How safe would that be? Local services are always more timely. Financial numbers must not override human considerations.

The for real problem here is: our political/media class has bullshat itself into such a tight corner, that they’re now having to explain that there’s nothing necessarily wrong or extreme about a project that has been engaged in World War II-level crimes against humanity for years.

Badenoch tells PMQs "all of the gas" from Jackdaw "goes into the British grid". This is misleading - the grid is connected to Europe, so once gas goes into the "British grid" it's often sold abroad And anyway, it would only produce 2-6% of UK gas output at peak. Bald men fighting over a dirty comb.
